Founders often have several questions in mind with regards to what the backstage process is when a VC firm takes a call on funding a startup or not. Is the focus on execution capabilities of the team, the founding members, the idea or a mix of all of these characteristics? Jasman Singh and Yewande Alade from the Dorm Room Fund are here to shed some light on this process and answer any questions you may have in regards to this process.
The event will be held online on March 25, 2021 at 7pm EST.

As an early stage startup, one of the most significant risks is not correctly identifying the problem you solve for your customers. Founders can overcome this challenge by treating their initial business model assumptions as hypotheses -- followed by interviewing and data collection techniques to validate their customers' needs.
This workshop will cover:
- Identifying your business model assumptions
- Questioning techniques to get good data
- Avoiding pitfalls, including objections and poor data
- Finding customers to talk to
- Launching from learnings
This event is appropriate for entrepreneurs of all experience levels, whether considering launching a venture in the future, in the early stages of development, or an established business considering launching a different offering. This event will take place on March 30, 2021 at 6pm EST.
