PROMOTION SUNDAY &

BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS!

We have a "back-packed" Sunday next weekend!! On August 9th, all nursery, elementary, and youth in attendance will be asked to come forward at the beginning of both the 9am and 11am worship services to be prayed over before they head off to first days of school. PLEASE BRING YOUR BACKPACK TO CHURCH!!

During the Sunday School hour we will hold our Promotion Sunday ceremony in the Sanctuary, where Perdido Bay Kids! will recieve our new kindergarteners and send our rising 6th graders off to The Wave Student Ministry. ALL elementary children are asked to stay for this hour, even if they are not promoting to Youth. Families are also invited to attend!

At the conclusion of our ceremony, we will return to the Education Building for our first day of grade-level Sunday School classes. This is a very important hour of Sunday School as our kids move into their new classrooms and/or meet their new teachers and classmates for the school year. Each room will have a morning of games and snacks before kicking off our official curriculum on August 16th.

Please join us for this most important Sunday and continue to be in prayer for each of our children as they enter this new year in their walk with Jesus!

BAPTISMS AT THE BEACH!

After our week of GOOD NEWS! at Worship Arts Camp, we headed to the beach on Wednesday and rejoiced in the public profession of faith of TEN of our ministry children through the waters of baptism. We also joyfully celebrated a baptism after we returned from Camp Baldwin in June! God is so good and I am so proud of each of these kids for making the best decision of their lives!

The next kidCONNECT! (gym day) is scheduled for August 30thPlease have your child dress comfortably for gym play.

UPDATED YOUR REALM PROFILE!

Elementary Families,

The beginnig of the school year is fast approaching, which means you'll have paperwork galore coming home to be filled out and returned. WE GET IT!!...(mom of five, here!). It is equally important that we have information for all of our newly promoted kids as well as updated info for current ministry children.

You may recieve a prompt at check-in over the next several weeks asking for birthday, allergies, contact info, etc. Please be prepared to take a moment to confirm these details to help us best serve your child and family.

We will also continue the transition to our digital check-in system, whereby you will be able to use your phone or an ipad at The Hub to check your child in for Wednesday evening and Sunday morning programming.
