ACOLTYE & CRUCIFER TRAINING!

It's time for our acolytes and crucifers to resume serving!

Our annual training will take place Sunday, September 20th, from 12:00-1:30 pm. The Acolyte (light bearer) and Crucifer (cross bearer) serve during the 11:00 Traditional Service and assist with offertory as well. We will begin our session eating lunch together in the Education Building with training to follow in the Sanctuary.

Parents/Guardians are encouraged to attend this event with their child/youth. Crucifer training is available for any Youth 6th-12th grade. Acolyte training is available for any elementary-aged child 3rd-5th grade.

Even if your child or youth has served in this role before, we request they attend as a refresher and to share with those who are considering serving for the first time. Please use the included link to RSVP for training.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS!

As you are looking at your fall calendars please make note of the following Wednesday evening dates that are either Special Events or nights without programming!

  • September 23: SPECIAL EVENT - Rise Against Hunger; NO dinner and NO regular Children's Programming
  • September 30: SPECIAL EVENT - Pizza and Inflatable Party

  • October 28: SPECIAL EVENT - Trunk or Treat

  • November 11: Veteran's Day - NO Wednesday Programming
  • November 25: Fall Break - NO Wednesday Programming

  • December 2: SPECIAL EVENT - Hanging of the Greens

A few important things to help our evenings run safely and smoothly and allow us to maximize our time together:

  • Traffic flow is ONE WAY. After dropping your child off please proceed around the back of the Education Building and out onto Custer Dr.
  • You can complete check-in using your phone prior to your arrival. You must still come inside at the end of the evening and sign your child out.
  • When you come for pick-up, inform Ms. Vivian who you are checking-out and then please proceed to the Launch Pad (the open area in front of our ministry hallway) to wait for your child. We are hopeful this will greatly help us reduce the congestion at the door.
  • Send your child with a Bible (and if you choose, a water bottle). Please no toys, fidgets, squishies, etc.
