As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closures, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

HAMPTON

Overnight Lane Closures and Detours

Monday, January 5 through Thursday, January 8

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east/west between Hampton Shore and Settlers Landing Rd from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

 

Monday, January 5

  •  Closure and detour at Mallory St on-ramp to I-64 east from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. CLICK HERE for detour map.


Friday, January 9

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east/west between Hampton Shore and Settlers Landing Rd. from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east at HRBT from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east at Willoughby Bay Bridge from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Single lane closures on I-64 east/west between Mason Creek and Patrol Rd from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Friday, January 9

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east at Willoughby Bridge from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Single lane closures on I-64 east/west between Mason Creek and Patrol Rd from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.


Continuous Lane Closures and Detours

Friday, January 2 through Friday, January 9 (24 hours per day)

Motorists should expect delays or take alternate routes. As always, motorists are encouraged to slow down, eliminate distractions and pay careful attention while driving through construction zones.
