As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closures, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

TRAVEL ALERT: Motorists should use caution and be on alert for slick spots or icy road conditions during winter precipitation and freezing overnight temperatures forecasted for Saturday, January 31 through Sunday, February 1. All scheduled construction is weather dependent.

Before traveling, check roadway conditions by using VDOT’s free 511 mobile app, visiting 511.vdot.virginia.gov or by calling 511 while in Virginia.

NOTE: Check the project webpage often for the latest updates to the weekly lane closures.
