As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closures, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

HAMPTON

Friday, January 9

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east/west from Hampton Shore to Settlers Landing Rd from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.


Sunday, January 11

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east from Mallory St to Hampton Shore from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Tuesday, January 13

  • Detour at I-64 east off-ramp to Mallory St from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. CLICK HERE for the detour map.


Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east from Mallory St to Hampton Shore from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Thursday, January 15

Saturday, January 10

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east/west between Patrol Rd and West Bay Ave from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.


Sunday, January 11

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east/west between Oastes Creek and Patrol Rd from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Detour at I-64 east on-ramp to Patrol Rd from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. CLICK HERE for the detour map.

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east/west between Patrol Rd and Willoughby Bay Bridge from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Friday, January 16

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east/west between Patrol Rd and Willoughby Bay Bridge from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays or take alternate routes. As always, motorists are encouraged to slow down, eliminate distractions and pay careful attention while driving through construction zones.
