As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closures, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

Sunday, June 8

  • Single lane closure on I-64 west from Patrol Rd to Bayview Blvd from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Monday, June 9 through Thursday, June 12

  • Single lane closure on I-64 west at Willoughby Bay Bridge from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Single lane closure on I-64 east at West Bay Ave from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Single lane closure on I-64 west from Patrol Rd to West Evans St from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Detour at I-64 west off-ramp to West Bay Ave (Exit 274) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. CLICK HERE for detour map.
  • Single lane closure on West Bay Ave from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Multiple stoppages on I-64 west from West Evans St to West Bay Ave from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Each stoppage may last up to 20 minutes.

  • Single lane closure on I-64 west from West Bay Ave to 1st View St from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
