As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closure, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

• Single lane closure on I-64 west at HRBT from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• Single lane closure on I-64 west from Willoughby Bay Bridge to Bayville Street from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Monday, March 4 to Thursday, March 7

• Single lane closure on at I-64 east/west from Willoughby Bay Bridge to Bayville Street from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monday, March 4 to Tuesday, March 5

• Multiple stoppages on I-64 east from Bayville on-ramp to 13th View Street from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
•  Each stoppage may last up to 20 minutes.
• Single lane closure on I-64 west from 4th View Street crossover to 13th View Street median from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Single lane closure on I-64 east from Evans Street to Bayview Street from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Wednesday, March 6 to Thursday, March 7

• Single lane closure on I-64 east from Evans Street to Bayview Street from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Continuous Lane Closures and Detours

Friday, March 1 through Friday, March 8 (24 hours per day)

Motorists should expect delays or take alternate routes. As always, motorists are encouraged to slow down, eliminate distractions and pay careful attention while driving through the construction zone.
