As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closure, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

NOTE: Check the project webpage often for the latest updates to the weekly lane closures.

Thursday, March 21

• Short duration stoppages at Mallory Street on-ramp to I-64 west from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
•  Each stoppage may last up to 10 minutes.

Overnight Lane Closures and Detours

Friday, March 15

• Single lane closure I-64 east/west at Mallory Street from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Monday, March 18 to Wednesday, March 20

• Single lane closure I-64 east/west at Mallory Street from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• Single lane closure on I-64 east from 1st View Street to W. Bay Avenue from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Single lane closure on I-64 east from Oastes Creek to Patrol Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Friday, March 22

• Single lane closure on I-64 east from Oastes Creek to Patrol Road from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Single lane closure on I-64 east at Willoughby Bay Bridge from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays or take alternate routes. As always, motorists are encouraged to slow down, eliminate distractions and pay careful attention while driving through the construction zone.
