As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closures, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

  • Multiple stoppages on I-64 east at Mallory St from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Each stoppage may last up to 20 minutes.

  • Single lane closure on I-64 west at Hampton Shore from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Friday, September 19

  • Single lane closure on I-64 west at Hampton Shore from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • Single lane closure on I-64 east from 4th View St to Patrol Rd from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.


Monday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 17

  • Single lane closure on I-64 west from West Bay Ave to 4th View St on-ramp 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Multiple stoppages on I-64 west from West Bay Ave to 4th View on-ramp from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Each stoppage may last up to 20 minutes.
