** VDOT will suspend most highway work zones and lift lane closures on interstates and other major roads in Virginia for Thanksgiving travel beginning noon, Wednesday, Nov. 27, until noon, Monday, Dec. 2. While lane closures will be lifted in most locations, motorists may encounter semi-permanent work zones that remain in place during this time. Read the statewide holiday travel release here**

As part of the HRBT Expansion Project, construction crews will implement weekly lane closures, detours and traffic pacing on local roads, I-64 and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas. Lane closures, detours and traffic pacing are subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.

NOTE: Check the project webpage often for the latest updates to the weekly lane closures.
