Saving Our Jobs - Virtual Comedy Festival

The Findlay Toyota Center, A Spectra venue, will host the national Saving Our Jobs Virtual Comedy Festival presented by Stella Artois on Valentine’s Day. Professional comedians from the U.S. and Canada will participate in an all-day live virtual festival. Tickets go on sale on January 25, 2021 at 9:00 am MST.

Valentine’s Day was chosen because comedy is for everyone. Couples can have a special date night at home and singles can still have a fun day of laughter without a significant other. It begins at 1 pm and runs until 11 pm MST with constant live comedy running all day. More professional comedians will be added between now and the event.

Two ticket options will be available. One for live event access only which will be $20. Another ticket for on-demand viewing for up to 1 year will be $40.

Car Raffle for Courthouse Lighting Giveaway

Findlay Prescott GMC is pleased to announce the donation of a 2021 Buick Encore to support the fundraising efforts for the 2021 Annual Prescott Courthouse Lighting.

The Findlay Prescott GMC team has worked in partnership with the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and will provide the grand prize for the raffle drawing to be held on March 12^th, 2021 at 3 pm.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Findlay Prescott GMC Dealership or you can purchase online by clicking the button below!

100% of the proceeds from this raffle will be going toward the Annual Courthouse lighting.

We would like to express our gratitude to the firefighters that protect our communities and National Forest on the west side of Prescott. Central Yavapai Fire District Station 51 serves the subdivisions of Highland Pines, Wildwood Estates, Pine Lakes and other west side areas. The City of Prescott Fire Stations 71 and 72 support the west and south ends of Prescott, as well as rural and National Forest areas.

Our community appreciation goal is to present all 3 shifts of these 3 fire stations with a $25 gift certificates from the Prescott Chamber of Commerce - We are currently at $800 of our funding goal of $1100.

Pure Wafer Announces Clean Energy Initiative at Arizona Plant

Pure Wafer,a leader in silicon wafer manufacturing, thin film deposition and wafer reclaim services announced today a clean energy initiative that calls for it to be 100 percent clean energy powered by 2050, and increasing usage of new, cleaner chemistries throughout its wafer production process. It also passed a significant milestone today reporting that its fab in Prescott is now 50 percent clean energy powered and is on-track to surpass its next milestone to be 65 percent clean energy powered by 2030.

Through its own clean technology manufacturing commitment and its work with organizations like the Arizona Public Service Electric (APS), Pure Wafer is committed to using 100 percent clean energy, carbon free electricity by 2050.

The Prescott Regulators and Their Shady Ladies just donated $3,000 to the Yavapai College Scholarship Foundation for current and veteran military and their families.

The Prescott Regulators & Their Shady Ladies, Inc. (PRSL) are an award winning 501(c)(3) re-enactment group. We are privileged to be the “Official Old West Ambassadors of Prescott” and as such, for over 12 years have represented the City in parades, re-enactments and events around the State of Arizona. PRSL raises money for the Yavapai College Military Families Scholarship.

Sunup Rotary Club of Prescott Scholarships

Sunup Rotary Club of Prescott will offer $2000 scholarships to 6 deserving graduating high school seniors for college expenses.

The Sunup Rotary Club of Prescott will award $2000 scholarships to 6 deserving, graduating high school seniors for college expenses These funds will be mailed to the Financial Services Office of the university or college that the recipient decides to attend. In the letter accompanying these funds, we will indicate the student may use the funds for any expenses relevant to attending that institution. In order to send these funds to the university or college to be attended, we need a copy of the letter of acceptance from the chosen school and student number.

Our selection criteria is • Service in the community and the school; preference to Interact involvement • Demonstrated understanding of Rotary and our club. • Integrity and honesty. • Academic potential; • Financial need as reflected in the applicant’s statement.
