Community Connection Fair

All Mercy students took part in this year’s Community Connections Fair, engaging with incredible non-profit organizations to explore service opportunities, volunteer projects, and meaningful ways to make a difference. Each student committed to learning more from at least two charities; putting Mercy values into action. Our Mercy girls are ready to lead with courage and compassion. THANK YOU to all the organizations who shared their time, mission, and passion with us!

Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation
September 1 (World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) to October 4 (Feast of St. Francis of Assisi) marks the Season of Creation. In 2019, Pope Francis encouraged us to use this season as an opportunity to reflect on our Gospel call to care for creation.
2025 is a year of milestones: a Jubilee year of Hope in the Catholic Church, the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’ (“On Care for our Common Home") and the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ “Canticle of the Creatures”. Catholic organizations across the United States are hosting Pilgrimages of Hope for Creation throughout this year’s Season of Creation. The Mercy community has two opportunities to participate, in addition to what may be offered through your local parish.
-
Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 2-4 pm - A self-guided pilgrimage walk will be available on the Mercy High School grounds. Start your walk from the Lobby/Auditorium entrance. Signage will direct you to several stations where you can read excerpts from Laudato Si’, reflect and pray. RSVP here or contact akline-kator@mhsmi.org for more information.
-
October 12, 2025 - Local Sisters of Mercy are sponsoring Common Prayer and a Stations of Earth pilgrimage walk at 4 pm at St. Suzanne/Our Lady Gate of Heaven Church. RSVP here or contact mklosowski@sistersofmercy.org for more information.
