Sponsor a Christmas Tree at Mercy

We are decking the halls at Mercy!

The Mercy Mothers' Club is excited to continue the Sponsor a Christmas Tree program again this year. The look of joy on the faces of students, staff and visitors while the trees were going up the past few years has been priceless! Sponsor a Christmas tree, wreath or ornament on behalf of a family, student, alumna, Mercy club/team, or business. All sponsors will be commemorated in a framed standing plaque next to their tree or wreath for this upcoming holiday season.

Last year, in collaboration with the Office of Mission & Ministry, we are added a Jesse Tree in the Reception Area. The Jesse Tree tradition is rooted in Isaiah 11:1: “A shoot shall come out of the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots.” There will be 25 ornaments on the tree, with each displaying a symbol and bible verse documenting the timeline leading up to the birth of Jesus. Each of the 25 ornaments will be a sponsorship opportunity.

Jesse Tree Ornaments

  • Sponsor one or more of 25 ornaments
  • Suggested donation: $100 each
  • Proceeds will directly benefit the KAIROS Retreat

Trees & Wreaths

  • Three 9' Trees: $500 each
  • Three 7' Trees: $350 each
  • Two 30” Wreaths: $250 each
  • Proceeds from trees and wreaths will benefit Mercy High School

Your generosity helps our students grow in faith while making our Advent celebrations truly special. Thank you for supporting this tradition! Please contact Mercy Mothers’ Board member Lisa Kolb at lisakolb824@hotmail.com if you are interested.

VARSITY MOCK TRIAL INFO MEETING

Dear Mercy Students (and Parents – You're Invited Too!),

Are you passionate about debate, strategy, and standing up in a courtroom to argue your case? If you thrive on teamwork, quick thinking, and a bit of drama (the good kind!), the Mercy Varsity Mock Trial Team might be your perfect fit.

We're hosting a Student & Parent Information Meeting to introduce what it truly means to compete as a member of our award-winning Mercy Varsity Mock Trial Team. This isn't just a club—it's a high-commitment team sport for the mind, where we prepare rigorously and compete fiercely in regional and state tournaments.

Event Details:

  • Date: Wednesday, October 22, 2025
  • Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Location: McAuley Academic Center, Mercy High School (easy parking in the main lot – enter through the front doors and follow signs)

At the meeting, you'll hear from our coaches and current team members about:

  • The thrill of simulating real court cases – from witness cross-examinations to closing arguments.
  • Our twice-weekly practices (typically evenings, fitting around academics and other activities).
  • The absolute commitment required: Full dedication to our key competitions on February 28, 2026 (regional round) and March 20-22, 2026 (state finals). We compete to win, not just participate – and with your drive, Mercy can go all the way!

This is your chance to ask questions, see sample cases in action, and envision yourself as a key player on the team. Students: Bring your competitive spirit! Parents: Your insights on schedules and support are welcome – we'll cover logistics like transportation and time management.

No prior experience needed – just enthusiasm and reliability. Let's build the next generation of Mercy advocates, leaders, and champions. See you on October 22 – your future in the spotlight awaits!
