The next national census is in April 2020.
Every 10 years, the federal government must count each and every person living in the country. It doesn’t matter what your citizenship status is, how old you are, or if you have had trouble with the law. Making sure you and your family are counted is one of the most powerful things you can do to support your community and shape your future.
The national census is so important to our democracy that it is required by the U.S. Constitution. It is how we make sure everyone has equal representation in government and everyone gets their fair share of resources.
