Critical Need for O-negative Blood and Platelets at Stanford Blood Center
Because of decreased donations over the holidays and higher-than-normal blood usage, the Blood Center has a critically low inventory of O-negative whole blood as well as platelets. For roughly one hour of your time, you can help patients in our local community who need life-saving blood products.

To schedule an appointment at one of our centers or locate the closest mobile drive, visit sbcdonor.org , or call 888-723-7831 for same-day appointments.

Library Sytem Improvements - Public Meeting
The City of Menlo Park's library system consists of the main library and the Belle Haven branch. The City is planning for new library facilities at both its main and branch locations. The planning process began with input received during the Library’s Departmental review in 2015, continued with its Strategic Plan in 2016, and moved forward in 2017 with the Space Needs Assessment for the main library and the Belle Haven Neighborhood Library Needs Assessment.

Come to the public meeting at the Main Library (800 Alma St.) on January 17, 2018 at 6:30 pm .

Join Stanford Blood Center and Good Karma Bikes to Help Local Kids
This January 8 – 27, Stanford Blood Center (SBC) is partnering with Good Karma Bikes to boost awareness of blood donation and help local kids in the process. As part of our annual Give Good campaign, for every 15 people who come in to donate blood at an SBC center or mobile drive during this time period, Good Karma Bikes will donate a bicycle to a child in foster care or a single-parent shelter. Additionally, for each person who rolls up their sleeve, SBC will make a financial contribution to Good Karma Bikes. To close out the Give Good campaign, Good Karma Bikes will host a mobile drive on Saturday, January 27 at their store, located at 460 Lincoln Ave #15, San Jose .
