Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing Project
Study Session
Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing project will have a Study Session for the City Council at their regular meeting on Tuesday, January 15 at 6 pm in the Council Chambers . Please note the earlier start time of 6 pm for the Study Session. Staff will present a summary of the comments received on the draft project study report and the draft scope of work for additional studies.
Please join us to hear about this important project and to provide your feedback to help the City Council provide direction to staff on next steps. 

Celebration Train to Operate on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
The Celebration Train will provide free service for those who wish to attend the annual observance of the life and legacy of Dr. King in San Francisco hosted by the Northern California Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Foundation (NorCalMLK). There will be onboard activities and entertainment for those in attendance during the trip, including a free giveaway for the children. For ticket registration, click here .

In addition to the Celebration Train, Caltrain will operate a regular weekday schedule for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Monday, January 21 .

Green Business Workshop tonight!
Join fellow business owners and managers, community members, and Green Business Program staff to learn about how businesses benefit from going GREEN! 

This workshop will give the A-to-Z of the Green Business certification offered by San Mateo County and the associated benefits, both economic (rebates, incentives, cost savings) and environmental (water conservation, energy efficiency, waste reduction)! At the conclusion of the GB 101 overview, community members and sustainability academy volunteers will participate in a short 45-minute volunteer training. All are welcome for both portions of the evening.

Ian Maskin at Menlo College
Internationally-recognized performer, composer and recording artist Ian Maksin will be traveling to California this month as part of his 2019 Pacific Coast tour. His tour will bring him to Menlo College for a single performance on Thursday, January 17 at 7 pm in El Camino Hall . Please join the Menlo College community, and take advantage of this opportunity to bring music to the Atherton-Menlo Park area.

The performance is free, but seating is limited and available on a first come-first served basis, by reservation only. Reserve your seats  here .

One Day Homeless Count - Volunteers Needed!
On  Thursday, January 31 , from  5 am to 10 am , the San Mateo County Human Services Agency will conduct its biennial One Day Homeless Count. In collaboration with community partners, the San Mateo County Human Services Agency organizes a census and survey of people who are experiencing homelessness.

Sign up today! Volunteers play a critical role tallying and administering surveys for the San Mateo County One Day Homeless Count.
