CREATION CARE
Shine Green this Christmas

Christmas lights on our tree and decorating our home definitely add to the feeling of Christmas. When you need to replace lights, please choose LED. They use upto 95% less energy than conventional bulbs and stay lit when one bulb goes out. LED lights will also shine for up to 50,000 hours compared to only 1,000 for conventional lights, making them more energy and cost effective. Turning your lights off before going to bed will also save energy. Timers do use energy but leaving the lights on all night will use many more times the power than a digital or analog timer will use.

This December and January, the Creation Care Team will be collecting holiday string lights for recycling. Look for the collection box located in the Donation Station. Visit the Creation Care board in Fellowship Hall and learn how the Rockefeller Christmas tree has been Shining Green since 2007.
