“Are You Doing Enough Self-Care?” 1 Kings 19: 3-9

With overscheduling our lives and overworking, the solution de jour seems to be to add just one more thing: self-care. Self-care is important, but what if there is never enough self-care that can truly make us happy and at peace… then what do we do? Join Pastor Rob as he looks at prophet Elijah who might have something to teach us about running the rat race, finding self-care, and keeping our sights set on our true purpose.

THIS Sunday, September 25 at 10:45am, we will hold a Special Church Conference (in-person only)) for two purposes:

  • To determine the funding mechanism for upcoming capital projects (HVAC replacement, sanctuary A/V improvements, and Church Beautification Phase 2 to replace the Fellowship Hall floor.) The options for funding are to take a line of credit against our UMG Fund (recommended) or pay-as-we-go using capital from the UMG Fund.
  • The second purpose is to vote on whether or not to seed the operating reserve account with UMG Fund capital from an incoming large bequest.

A detailed informative video describing the options and rationale for this conference is linked above. Please click on this link for the presentation about the A/V improvements (technology) discussed at the August 7 Town Hall Meeting. Click here to see the portion of the meeting that discusses the technology upgrades requested.

For specific questions about either matter, please reach out to Jim Alderfer, Jenean Larsen or Greg Lower in advance of the meeting. They will be available in Fellowship Hall immediately after service and before the conference.
