Pastoral Planning Update
Dear Friends,
As we continue to move along through the summer months, some creative ideas have already been suggested by some of you who have taken the time to reach out to me. I hope that you will all bring your ideas, visions, hopes to one of the upcoming on-line meetings. The sessions will take place on Wednesday, August 6 and Thursday August 14. Both sessions will begin at 7:00pm and will last 90 minutes.
During the announcements last weekend, I mentioned how helpful it would be for each community member to take some time to ask a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member what might help them to consider joining our faith community or any church for that matter. In an effort to address the issue of who is not here at Mass, I think it would be helpful to have that conversation with others.
Please share what you have learned during whichever meeting you will attend in next month.

to participate in an important Planning Process this fall!
We hope you’ll attend one of our virtual open community meetings
as we reflect together on our Center’s mission, values, and direction.

| FREP Teens to be part of Mosaic Interfaith Youth | |
We are excited to announce that in the upcoming FREP* year, our
Jr. High and Sr. High Teens (grades 7-12) will be part of Mosaic Interfaith Youth Action to learn about and experience social justice with other teens in the greater Boston area!
The specific program is called Circles of Action and brings together teens of all faiths to take a deeper dive into the systemic issues in our world while participating in direct service projects. This program aligns with the Center’s emphasis on learning more about, and living, our Catholic social teaching.
This dynamic program will take place in different locations in the Boston area on a monthly basis on Sundays from 2 - 5pm.
The program also includes Service Learning Days that EVERYONE can participate in.

Blue Hills Reservation.

August 15th Social at the Sox Game:
Dig out your mitt from the box at the back of your closet and join us for an evening of baseball on Fri, Aug 15 at 6:15pm!
We'll meet in front of the Paulist Center and head to Fenway Park together to watch the Red Sox battle the Miami Marlins.
First pitch is at 7:10pm. We'll handle the tickets; those in attendance must pay for their own concessions and/or souvenirs (save for any foul balls you might catch!).

Announcement from RJAG at the Paulist Center
Spotlight On Haiti
The Racial Justice Advocacy Group (RJAG) calls attention to the current plight of Haitians. According to the 2025 World Population Review, Massachusetts has the second highest Haitian population in the United States with about 77,000 Haitians in the Boston area.
Their futures in Massachusetts are now in danger and they are at risk in coming months of facing deportation from the U.S.
