Honors Assembly Attendance

Dear Xavier Parents of Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors,

This note comes to ask for your support. This week marks the beginning of activities and recognition for our seniors. The Class of 2025 has been an outstanding one. They have grown in their faith and have served our school, our community and our world. They have been mentors, tutors and leaders for our underclassmen. 

Wednesday we will honor our seniors at our annual Honors Assembly. It is the last time our entire school, including the Class of 2025, will be together. It is our chance to say “Thank you” and “Congrats on a job well done!” to our seniors.

Unfortunately, some of our underclassmen seem to think this Assembly is not something they should have to attend. So they ask you, their parents, to call in for them to release them just prior to the start of the assembly. In my address to our students, I ask them to rise above a “me” approach and be respectful enough of our seniors to attend and show support for what the Class of 2025 has meant to Xavier High School.

I am asking you to support us in this message to our underclassmen that as a community we should all take part in recognizing and congratulating those who have accomplished so much and represented us so well during their time at Xavier. Please support us in helping continue this special tradition and building a sense of community among our “Saints!”

XPX Uniform & Spirit Wear Collection

XPX will once again be collecting “graduated” and out-grown GENTLY WORN uniforms. These items will be available in August for purchase at the annual SAINTS SHOP Back-to-School Sale! All proceeds from this sale will directly benefit the XPX programs, which support the students, staff and teachers at Xavier. When you clean out those closets, please bring any uniform approved items (polos, sweaters, quarter-zips, pants) to the main office. Gentle used spirit wear will be accepted too. All items must be without stains or tears. Thank you for your support!

Baccalaureate Mass

Our Baccalaureate Mass to honor the seniors will be on Wednesday, May 14 at 7 pm at St. John XXIII. This Mass is attended by graduates, their parents, and the faculty. After the Mass, all are invited to attend the reception afterwards!

End of Year Lunch Account Information for Seniors

Credit balances will be transferred to a sibling's account if applicable, otherwise, a refund will be given to the seniors before the senior breakfast on May 16.

If you have automatic payments set up through EZSchoolpay.com into your senior student’s account, you will need to go in and stop the automatic payments. Please do this before the week of May 12, as that is the week accounts will be refunded.

AP Exams

AP Exams will continue through May 16th. Students and parents have been emailed exact times & dates. Please check with your student that they have communicated with the appropriate teachers if they will be missing a class. Please direct any questions to Student Services.

2025 Family Week

The Iowa High School Music Association, Iowa High School Speech Association, Iowa High School Athletic Association, and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union have designated July 27th through August 3, 2025 as "Family Week". During this week, all high school students, including incoming 9th graders, are not allowed to have contact (on or off school premises) with coaches, directors, or moderators, nor are they allowed to use school facilities.

Service Requirements

Please remember that students have a 45-hour service requirement for graduation. You can access your child’s approved service hours by asking them to see their MobileServe app on their iPad. More details on this requirement can be found at www.xaviersaints.org/service.

Saints Shop hours for May will vary from our regular schedule, due to end of year activities. You can call ahead to confirm we are open before making the trip.
