Prayer for Pastor Search Process
Holy God, you know all things and desire good for your people and your Spirit leads us in your Way. We are deeply grateful for the work of the Pastor  Nominating Committee and for Rev. James Goodlet that you have prepared to serve this congregation. We pray now that you would open our hearts and minds to the new thing that you are doing at First Presbyterian Church. We pray for this congregation and our new pastor, Rev. Goodlet: Give to us all strength and  endurance, commitment, mutual love and patience for the work that lies ahead. Prepare us to receive new leadership with deep joy and instruct us all as we accept new ways. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who is forever the head of the Church. Amen.
