Making a St. Brigid Cross
Palm Sunday: April 13th
Everyone is invited to join us for the community forum this Sunday after the 9:30 service! Continuing our exploration of Celtic Christianity throughout Lent, we will learn how to make a St. Brigid’s Cross. Great for all ages!

This Sunday: The Peace Table for children ages 7-11
Wednesday, April 16th – no youth programming. There’s a lot of church this week. The next night is our Maundy Thursday Lock-in! Easter Vigil at Trinity on Saturday, and more!

Trinity has a tradition of hosting a Youth Overnight on Maundy Thursday! Following Trinity’s 7:00 pm church service, or St. David’s 6:00pm Agape Meal, youth will gather for a meal. Groups of youth will sign up to pray each hour in the chapel until the morning of Good Friday, imagining the garden of gethsemane. The rest of the night will include Indian Food, games, and fellowship. If you have school the next day and can’t spend the night, you are welcome to join us for as long as you are able. Save the Date: Wednesday, April 30th: Youth Group with Special Guest, Artist Julie Luna!
Julie is going to meet with us to create a piece of art to be used in the service on Pentecost. (Think fire, Holy Spirit vibes.) All 6-12th graders are invited to this special event – no artistic skills required!

Calling All Potager Chefs!
What in the world is that, you may ask. It is a cook who specializes in soups! Even if you don’t specialize in soups, we will gladly take your generous soup contributions for St David’s upcoming Agape Meal on Maundy Thursday, April 17th at 6 pm.
This most holy night begins with a communal family style meal of soups, warm pita bread, homemade hummus, and a variety of nuts/olives/dried fruit. Looking for both meat and vegetarian soup options. Please email or call me if you would be willing to prepare a crockpot of soup for the evening.

Invitation to a Spiritual Practice for Lent:
The Art of Neighboring
Did you know that Americans are spending more time alone today than in any period in modern history? Some are saying it’s an “epidemic of loneliness”. Across all demographic groups our time socializing face-to-face is down 20% from 2003 to 2023... and for youth it’s down 40% (Bureau of Labor Statistics)!
What does this mean? How is it changing us? What does scripture offer as a source of wisdom to guide us? As Bishop Loya implores us… what is one “small thing” that I can do?
Our invitation is for everyone to identify ONE Lenten practice that will change the way you interact with your “neighbors”. We will gather again after Lent to share our stories of how this one small Lenten practice made an impact on ourselves or others.

Labyrinth Stations of the Cross
Come experience the Stations of the Cross as you walk the Labyrinth at St. Edward’s Episcopal Church (865 N Ferndale Rd, Wayzata). Every Friday in Lent from 1pm-7pm the Sanctuary will be open and available to the public.

Are you Interested in Being Received into the
Episcopal Church?
Bishop Craig Loya will preside at a service of Confirmation and Reception at St. Mark's Cathedral on Saturday, April 26 at 2:00. Those who have been baptized and have been members of another Christian fellowship and who wish to be affiliated with the Episcopal Church may make a public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their baptism in the presence of our bishop. He will lay hands on each candidate for reception and say, “We recognize you as a member of the one holy catholic and apostolic Church, and we receive you into the fellowship of this Communion” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 418).

Mill City String Quartet Concert
Sunday, April 13, 3pm
St. David's Sanctuary
Soprano vocalist Stacey Mastrian joins MCSQ for a lovely concert featuring a captivating blend of string quartet and voice. The program includes exquisite works by Clara Schumann, Ottorino Respighi, Arthur Shepherd, Carlos Simon, and Caroline Shaw, showcasing the diverse landscapes of classical and contemporary music. This concert is free to the public with all donations directed to support St. David’s Episcopal Church.

Meet Julia: Minister of Parish Life
Wednesday, April 30th 4:00-6:00pm
We invite you to come to the church to meet our new Minister of Parish Life, Julia Moser-Hardy. Enjoy some light refreshments and social time.
Julia will also join us for worship at the 9:30 service on April 27th.

Wonder Women Social Hour Back for the Summer!
With spring in the air we are most likely feeling like we want to get out in nature and enjoy the flowers. Women from St David's have been joining for late afternoon social time since the start of the pandemic and in the last few years in the summer in people's homes/ gardens/porches/ patios and decks. Lovely patios, decks, and gardens are not required - we just love to get together for a late afternoon get together with snacks, beverages, and informal conversations - telling our stories, discussing things important to us and our families.- you get the picture AND are all welcome.
We generally schedule once a month and that is based on the preference of the host. So please let us know if you would be willing to open up your space to this group. We have June covered on June 12th at the Carda's. Thursdays seem to be good days - keep in mind other church events happening so we don't overwhelm our involvement and commitments,

Grow (literally) in faith at Good Courage Farm this year!
Join with other Creation-loving folks for four seasons of on-farm learning and practice through the Farm Stewards ministry at Good Courage Farm in Hutchinson. This immersive, agrarian faith formation experience invites you (and church friends new and old!) to commit one Saturday a month (March through October) to a prayerful, joyful, reciprocal relationship with the farm's fruit trees, grapevines, or animals. Reconnect your spiritual life with the land and its gifts. Share the real fruits of your labor with those who hunger.
