June 17, 2026

Vacations have become a vital part of our culture. Vacation gives one a chance to reflect and refresh. Summer is usually a season for one to plan time away from the normal schedule and demands of life. I am a big fan of vacations! I am grateful for the recent opportunity to gather the entire family and spend time away. I would like to encourage everyone to make time for family as well as make time for our church family. With all the pressure and demands of the world, let’s be intentional about spending time with our earthly family and our church family.

In addition to vacations, there are a lot of activities vying for our attention. Some of these opportunities include ministry and outreach. Currently, there is a group of GW members serving in VBS. Please keep the kids, parents, and volunteers in your prayers. Our youth will be going to summer camp near Knoxville the last week of June. Pray for this special group of members as they worship and study God’s Word together. A GW team will be traveling to Kentucky to serve as part of a mission team on July 12, helping build a Gospel-centered halfway house. Pray for the recipients of this effort as well as the team members constructing the building. May we recognize opportunities to serve, small and large. May we be found faithful in making Jesus known to the world.

Moving forward together and excited about seeing everyone on Sunday!
