KNOW - GROW - GO

A note from...

Michael Prettyman

Praise the Lord for the much needed rain!

Well, for those of you who love that artificial hour of daylight, this is a sad weekend for you! On Sunday at 2:00 a.m., we end daylight savings time and fall back into real time, and for those of you who appreciate morning daylight and an extra hour of sleep, you have a reason to celebrate this weekend!

No matter how late your preferred college football team game goes on Saturday night, you will have an extra hour to recover!

I want to encourage all of you to be sure to sign up for the November 9th connect meal! We need a solid head count to know how much food to prepare! This is the last Sunday to sign up!

I look forward to seeing all of you this Sunday morning!

I want to leave you with one of my favorite scriptures!

Psalm 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Have a great day, and to God be the glory!

A sign up sheet is located in the lobby. For a specific grave, please indicate name and date of death.

Pathfinders will meet on November 2, and November 16 from 4:30-6:30 in the Annex as we conclude our series on how to let God help during a crisis. Childcare is provided, and dinner to follow. Please RSVP to Carol McCance at 423-322-5095.

This year, GraceWorks will produce its own Advent devotional, with the theme of "God's Greatest Gift shared by GraceWorks," an emphasis on sharing God's gift of His Son with the world through personal experiences of members of GraceWorks.

If you are willing to volunteer to write a devotion (3-4 paragraphs), please text Tony at (423) 290-9957. Each devotion needs to be original and not a reproduction of another published writer. Please include a Bible verse that reflects the theme of God's gift to the world, Jesus.

Deadline is November 1.
