Hopkins Raspberry Festival - We need YOU!

Marketplace Booth - Sign-up Now!

It is almost that time of year for the highly anticipated Hopkins Raspberry Festival. Much fun was had last year during our inaugural participation in the Marketplace Fair and Grand Day Parade. We are at it again this year and hope you will come along for the ride!

The plan for this year is to participate in the Marketplace Fair with our St David’s Booth . It will all happen on Saturday, July 19th  from 9 am until 4 pm.  We will have an opportunity to faithfully innovate, living into our mission by participating in some radical hospitality with our neighbors. Once again, we will be offering up a place for rest, refreshment, and renewal for all fair goers traveling along Hopkins Mainstreet.

What will we have in our booth?

  • Chairs to rest, and spritzer fans to cool off.
  • Free Raspberry infused water and plain water for refreshment.
  • A Gratitude activity for all ages to participate
  • A furry friend station with water and yummy dog treats
  • St David’s Information and conversation starters available for all booth workers
  • Affirmation/Pride stickers available to all fairgoers
  • Street chalk for all budding artists of any age!
  • Parishioners, hopefully you, who will be a very important part of the booth…listening, getting to know our neighbors, being present, faithfully innovating!

We hope many will participate in this fun summer activity by working a “fly-by” 2-hour shift, including set up and take down opportunities.   Sign up now in the Narthex on the clipboard provided next to the big Raspberry Festival poster.

Come along and live into St. David’s vision and mission.  Questions, please contact me, Diane Curley, in person in the Narthex after church, or via email at dsbkncurley@gmail.com

Next ICA Sunday: July 6th

If you are like so many Minnesotans, you may be headed to the lake or off to see relatives/friends for the upcoming holiday weekend. Just wanted to let you know that if you will be away, you can bring your ICA donations ahead of time this Sunday or during the week. Just be sure anything you leave in the ICA baskets is non-perishable.

As before, we will be collecting items for the Kids’ Summer Market. As you may recall, the Kids’ Summer Market provides extra food for families with school-aged children during the summer months when kids do not receive breakfast or lunch at school. Kid-friendly foods include items like

  • pasta
  • mac ‘n cheese
  • juice
  • canned tuna
  • crackers

Other items always needed:

  • paper towels
  • toilet paper
  • body wash/soap
  • shampoo
  • deodorant

Thanks for your donations.

Our mission: To create a healthy and stable community for all

Our vision: A community where everyone has the resources to thrive

Our belief: ICA’s presence in our communities makes our neighborhoods more stable and secure

Grow (literally) in faith at Good Courage Farm this year!

Join with other Creation-loving folks for four seasons of on-farm learning and practice through the Farm Stewards ministry at Good Courage Farm in Hutchinson. This immersive, agrarian faith formation experience invites you (and church friends new and old!) to commit one Saturday a month (March through October) to a prayerful, joyful, reciprocal relationship with the farm's fruit trees, grapevines, or animals. Reconnect your spiritual life with the land and its gifts. Share the real fruits of your labor with those who hunger. Deepen your literacy in reading both Creation and Scripture for revelations of God's generous love. Click here to learn more about growing with Good Courage Farm in 2025 - spiritually and literally.

We will include all individuals in the prayers list for four consecutive weeks, and then they will be removed from the list. If the prayer need is ongoing, please reach out and we will keep their names on the list. If anyone's prayer need is shorter than four weeks, please also note that. This way we will keep all prayer lists updated and recent.
