Adult Education - Mission Series
Through June 23
10:45-11:45 a.m. in Stewart Hall 102-103

Missions aren’t just a function of the church. And the church isn't just the outcome of mission. Both are grounded in the missio Dei – the mission of God. The Father sent the Son; the Father and Son sent the Spirit; and now the Spirit sends the church. During the month of June, be inspired by those who are at the forefront of being the missional church.

June 9 – Louis Dooley, Regional Director, Set Free Ministries
June 16 – Ms. Pearl Willis, Founder, Roseland Community “Good News” Day Care
June 23 – Exodus World Service, Refugee Experience

Childcare is provided.
This week's speaker, Louis Dooley, has an incredible story of faith, as a former prisoner with two life sentences + 100 years. He is now a free man giving hope to other inmates. Click on the thumbnail to see a short video glimpse into his amazing story.

Fair Exchange Coffee and Tea
Using fair trade products is an easy way to support farmers, artisans and low-income communities in developing countries.

First Pres is partnering with the Presbyterian Coffee Project to help in these ways:
• Fair Exchange coffee and tea are now being served on Sunday mornings..
• Twelve-ounce bags of fair trade organic coffee will be available for sale on the second Sunday of the month, starting today. For every pound of Equal Exchange products purchased, Equal Exchange donates 15 cents to the Presbyterian Hunger Program for sustainable farming and community development grants around the world. To learn more, click here.
Back to School Supply Drive
We are collecting early donations of new backpacks and school supplies for local children in need. Your donations will bring many smiles and help support the Zomi children, People’s Resource Center and Catholic Charities. A list of needed supplies is available at the Welcome Desk. Please bring your contributions to the Rotunda by July 26. Thank you for your generosity. Email Alisa Maloney or call 630-390-8102.

Summer Adventures with Jesus
Have you heard the story of Flat Stanley? This summer the children were given a “Flat Jesus”
to take with them wherever they may go! Families are encouraged to talk about their adventures
with Jesus and post pictures on our Facebook page to share with others. What a wonderful way
to keep Jesus at the center of our lives, even when we are far from our church home.
