Good Friday Offering
For more than a century, Episcopalians have given generously to the Good Friday Offering, which supports the vital work and ministries of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East. Today, the need of the church in the Holy Land is greater than ever, particularly given the recent escalation of war in the Middle East.
This year’s Good Friday Offering will support,
- al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza, which has continued serving patients during the Israel-Hamas War amid bombardment, devastating shortages of food, water, and medicine, and extended power outages.
- St. George’s Church in Baghdad, Iraq, and its medical center.
- An eye clinic at Christ Church in Yemen.
- All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Damascus, Syria.
- All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Beirut, Lebanon.
The Episcopal Church supports just and sustainable peace in the Holy Land and around the world. While we pray and work for peace, our siblings in the Holy Land will continue to serve God’s people with hospitals, schools, orphanages, and humanitarian aid programs. These ministries serve people of all faiths without distinction, bearing witness to the power of hope and healing across divides.
Together, we can support the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East as it turns despair into hope for God’s people in the land where our faith was born.
There will be a basket in the entryway, or you can donate online at this link.

Support ICA Every Week in March!
MN FoodShare Month - Week 5
This is the last week of MN FoodShare Month. During March, communities across the state rally together to fight hunger. It is a powerful reminder that ending food insecurity takes all of us.
During this month especially, we are part of the team making sure our neighbors have the food and stability they need.
The throes of the recent Metro Surge have diminished. However, many of our neighbors are still afraid to leave their homes to go to work, get groceries, go to school and do the many other activities of daily living. They still need assistance with food, housing and utilities. Your gifts will directly help ICA provide the support our neighbors need right now.
As you may recall, your food and financial donations are being accepted through the month of March. This year at St. David’s, a different weekly focus for your donations is being suggested.
Donation Focus for Sunday, March 29: Paper Products
Your donations could include:
- paper towels, toilet paper (in wrapping), tissues, napkins
- baby/toddler items such as disposable diapers, diaper wipes
Please consider bringing just 1 or 2 items to contribute.
Other current ICA needs include:
| | |
Non-dairy shelf stable milk
cereal
canned fruit
peanut butter
jelly
| | |
pancake syrup
vegetarian Rice-a-Roni
salad dressing
laundry pods
| | |
Bring your gifts of food to church and put them in one of the ICA baskets, located at the church entrances. If you wish to make a financial gift, you can drop a check made out to ICA in the Sunday collection plate or go to www.icafoodshelf.org/donate. If you make a gift through ICA’s website, be sure to indicate you are a member of St. David’s.
Many thanks to all you have already donated to support our neighbors in need during this month. However you choose to support ICA during MN FoodShare Month, please know it is truly appreciated.
Egg cartons needed
ICA is once again accepting egg cartons. Please put your empty egg cartons in the ICA basket, located at the church entrances.
Belinda’s Coat Auction is Ending
Belinda Jensen, KARE 11 meteorologist, is celebrating her upcoming retirement by giving back. She is auctioning off nearly 40 coats, hats and scarves she has worn on TV over the years, with 100% of the proceeds going to ICA.
The auction ends on March 30th. Check out the auction on the ICA website: www.icafoodshelf.org. Place a bid if you see a coat, hat or scarf you might like to own. Winners will be notified by email on March 31.
Our mission: To create a healthy and stable community for all
Our vision: A community where everyone has the resources to thrive
Our belief: ICA’s presence in our communities makes our neighborhoods more stable and secure

In light of the current day, what do these women have to teach us?
Current political dynamics may be new to some of us — or not. But what about Bible women, our spiritual ancestors, who lived thousands of years ago? How did their faith and actions play a part in God’s story and how might they give us strength and courage today?
Read their stories and come be part of the conversation!
