Fun Fact: I've always been a team player! Not necessarily by choice, as I came into this world as a team of three. As a triplet, I often get asked if we can communicate with each other telepathically; unfortunately no. But what I can tell you is that there is a powerful wisdom of being an older sibling; even if it's only 3-6 minutes older than your sisters.

| McBride Sisters SHE CAN Fund | |
With August being National Black Business Month and Women's Equality Day in two weeks the McBride Sisters think it is important to not only highlight the statistics of Black Business Owners but to also shed light on how they use their voice and resources to help the community reach their career goals.
With 35% of Black Business Owners being women, 61% of these Black women entrepreneurs self-fund their businesses instead of securing a loan from a financial institution.
This is is why they created the McBride Sisters SHE CAN Fund as an effort to close the gender and race gap in leadership positions by providing scholarships and grants to emerging women leaders.
In its first year, the fund awarded scholarships of nearly $40,000 to women in the wine industry. Since then, we’ve contributed over $3 million in-kind skill development, technical training, and ad credits.
The McBride Sisters SHE CAN Fund continues its commitment to invest in professional women on their journey to learn and master the business of wine. For 2023, it will focus its efforts on supporting women pursuing professional advancement within at least one key area of the wine industry including Sommelier Certification, WSET Certification or Business of Wine Education course completion.

It was our pleasure to work with an outstanding group of interns this summer. We welcomed seven total interns with five interning in Sales, one in Purchasing and one in Human Resources. Throughout the ten-weeks they were able to increase their knowledge in their respected departments, the beverage industry and gain a deeper understanding of Martignetti Companies.
The Sales program consisted of trainings on Sales Processes, Technology, Presentations from Senior Leadership, General Sales Meetings, Work Withs and completion of Wine & Spirits 101 with trainings by Brad Fichter and Troy Clarke.
The Purchasing program consisted of assisting in inventory planning and Blue Ridge Certification.
The Human Resources program focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion while developing a library for DEI and preparing recommendations for future inclusivity opportunities.
Each intern presented a Capstone Presentation to Leadership focusing on their experiences, knowledge and understanding of how Martignetti leads in the industry.
Thank you to everyone who assisted our Summer Interns along the way!
| | We are so proud of this group. Their involvement exceeded our expectations. We will stay in touch as they continue their college careers and begin navigating their first employment opportunities. Congratulations to these amazing Interns! | |

August is National Eye Exam Month | This August, observe National Eye Exam Month by learning about ways to keep your vision clear and healthy. As we age, getting a baseline eye exam can detect early signs of disease or damage to your eyes. Ophthalmologists recommend periodic eye exams every 2-4 years from the ages of 40 to 65, and every 1-2 years after the age of 65. While most symptoms are often disregarded, getting a simple checkup and following a doctor’s orders can greatly lower risks of more severe and future damage, and you can continue to enjoy healthy vision. | |
