Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, introspection and prayer for Muslims, the followers of Islam. It is celebrated as the month during which Muhammad received the initial revelations of the Quran, the holy book for Muslims. Fasting is one of the five fundamental principles of Islam. Each day during Ramadan, Muslims do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset. They are also supposed to avoid impure thoughts and bad behavior. Muslims break their daily fasts by sharing meals with family and friends, and the end of Ramadan is celebrated with a three-day festival known as Eid al-Fitr, one of Islam’s major holidays. Ramadan always falls on the ninth month of the 12-month Islamic calendar. Ramadan 2024 starts on the evening of Sunday, March 10 and lasts 30 days, ending at sundown on Tuesday, April 9.

VELO Vodka was created in South Boston, MA, run by a mother and daughter team and operated by women. The concept came out of a night at a bootleg special between mother Collen and daughter Riley. The idea was to create a super-premium Vodka that is incredibly smooth, clean and has a refreshing taste.
The Southie-born spirit they created is so exceptional it’s been featured in Forbes, NY Post’s Page Six and Boston Common Magazine.
“Today, we honor and pay homage to the incredible contributions of women throughout history and in our daily lives. Women’s History Month is a time to recognize the achievement, resilience, and strength of women from all walks of life.” - VELO Vodka

When does a leprechaun cross the street?
When it turns green.

Daylight Saving Time means it's also a good time to review your spring safety checklist.
✔️ Smoke Alarms
Three out of every five home fire deaths result from fires in homes with no smoke alarms, according to the National Fire Protection Association. Test your smoke alarms every month and replace the battery at least once a year. If the alarm makes a "chirping" sound, replace the battery immediately.
Smoke alarms should be in every bedroom and in the common areas on each floor of a home. Mount them at least 10 feet from the stove to reduce false alarms, less than 12 inches from the ceiling and away from windows, doors and ducts.
Smoke alarms can be interconnected wirelessly. That means, when one sounds, they all sound. Be sure to purchase smoke alarms with the label of a reputable testing agency, like Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
✔️ Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Anything that burns fuel can potentially become a source of carbon monoxide, an invisible, odorless gas that can kill. CO alarms should be installed in a central location outside each bedroom and on every level of the home. The safety tips for CO detectors mirror those of smoke alarms: change the batteries, test them and interconnect them, if possible. Also, make sure vents for your gas appliances (fireplace, dryer, stove, and furnace) are free and clear of snow or debris.
✔️ Family Emergency Plan
The National Safety Council recommends every family have an emergency plan. Spring is a great time to review that plan with family members. Have a home and car emergency kit. The Federal Emergency Management Agency says an emergency kit should include one gallon of water per day for each person, at least a three-day supply of food, flashlight, and batteries, first aid kit, filter mask, plastic sheeting and duct tape, and medicines. Click HERE for the FEMA complete list.
✔️ Get Rid of Unwanted Medicines
NSC recommends you take unwanted or expired medicines to a prescription drop box or take-back event near you. Or, learn how you can use Stericycle Seal & Send envelopes to send your unwanted medication to be safely destroyed.
✔️ Window Safety
With warmer temperatures arriving, it's important to practice window safety – especially in homes with young children. Find more information about window safety click HERE.

Quality Beverage Sales Division
is featuring Goose Island Beer Hug in Taunton and Auburn.
| | |
Our beer started with a trip across Europe, when Goose Island founder (and unabashed beer lover), John Hall, took a tour across the continent. Pint by pint, he savored the styles and selections of brews in every region, and thought to himself, “America deserves some damn fine beer like this, too.” Craft beer wasn’t widely known at the time, but upon return from his European sojourn, John set out to change all that. He settled down in his hometown of Chicago—a city perfect for craft beer, with rapidly evolving tastes and the largest system of fresh water on the planet—and then he got to brewing.
First, he made some beer. Then he invited the city to enjoy it with him. The result was a new fascination with craft brewing. That was back in 1988 and we haven’t slowed down since. By 1995, John’s beer became so popular that he decided to open a larger brewery, along with a bottling plant to keep up with demand. 1999 brought even more growth, along with an additional brewpub, and today, what was once one man’s pint-filled dream has become the Goose Island you know and love.
Here’s where we tell you that in 2011, Goose Island Beer Company was acquired by Anheuser-Busch. Since then, we’ve continued to brew beer that we’re proud of and now we get to share these beers with our friends locally, nationwide, and internationally. We think that's pretty sweet. If you're ever in Chicago, we'd love for you to stop by the brewery and have a beer with us.
Big Juicy Beer Hug 9.9% ABV:
A SIP OF SUNSHINE AND DAYDREAMS
If you're a fan of Tropical Beer Hug, you'll love its punchy sibling, Big Juicy Beer Hug. Coming in at 9.9% ABV, this fruit-forward Imperial IPA has an aroma bursting with a tropical bouquet of passionfruit, orange, and guava.
Finishing with a soft malty sweetness leaving you wanting more.

Connecticut Sales Division
is featuring Green Spot Irish Whiskey.
| | |
Green Spot was originally produced exclusively for the Mitchell family who commenced trading in 1805 on 10 Grafton St. in the heart of Dublin city as purveyors of fine wines and confectionery. Four generations later, the company is still in the wine and spirits business, under the stewardship of Jonathan Mitchell and his son Robert.
The Mitchell family expanded into whiskey bonding in 1887, whereby they sent empty wine, sherry, and port casks via horse and cart to the local Jameson Distillery, which were then filled and returned to the Mitchell’s cellar warehouse. There, the whiskeys matured for many years under bond until they were ready to be bottled and sold.
Green Spot: A non-age statement Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey comprising of pot still whiskeys aged between 7 & 10 years. The whiskey has matured in a combination of new bourbon and refill bourbon casks as well as sherry casks. Fresh aromatic oils and spices with orchard fruits and barley on a background of toasted wood. Full spicy body. A hint of cloves along with the fruity sweetness of green apples, rounded off with toasted oak. Followed by lingering flavors of spices and barley.

Long ago, in a time before selfies, a distillery was founded by a man named John Jameson. Born in Alloa in Scotland in 1740, he came to Dublin in the late 1770s.
