Lent 2026

Newborn Kits

Every year, several hundred Newborn kits are assembled, packaged and sent off to areas of need from Chisago Lake Lutheran. Our quilters group is in the process now of collecting needed items for a mid-March assembly date. Donated items may be placed in the bin in the church lobby or office.

·        Ivory bar soap, blue label

·        2.5-gallon Ziploc Bags, need lots

·        Washcloths and Bath Towels (new or gently used)

·        Onesies or baby t-shirts (new or gently used)

·        Cash is always welcome, if you prefer.

DO YOU HAVE A THRIVENT ACCOUNT?

If so, you are able to apply for $250 Thrivent Action Card. These can be used for any number events and project. Some of the ways they have been used at CLLC over the years include: funds for the quilters and newborn kits, the Community Pig Roast, Youth Lasagna Dinner, Palm Sunday Breakfast, just to name a few. This seed money can be used in any number of projects! If you have a Thrivent account, it is easy to apply on line. 

Questions on how to apply?  We can help! LouAnn Mattson can sit down with you and assist you in applying for an Action card. All you need is your account number to do it!
