"He Saw and Believed:
the Transforming Power of the Resurrection"

John 20:1-18
Updates from the Session
  • The Session has been in communication with Central Carolina Presbytery in regard to several issues pertaining to the events of the last year. Some of those issues originated with Presbytery, who wanted to hear from the Session of Uptown about our thought process and actions. We answered, and are awaiting their conclusions. Other Presbytery concerns arose from a complaint from members of Uptown against the Session regarding the congregational meeting of June 28, a complaint that will now be processed by Presbytery. Deacons and Elders discussed these matters at their most recent joint meeting and are understanding each other a bit better.  Please reach out to any of the elders if you wish to discuss further or would like more information.

  • The Session wishes to inform the congregation that we accept the resignation of Ed Barnes from the Diaconate.

  • New elders that were voted on in the last congregational meeting will be ordained during the 9am service on October 4.
