Don't forget to submit your nomination for the Community Affairs Advisory Board's 2023 Women's History Month Honoree to recognize an individual or organization’s leadership and creativity in enhancing Women’s History in the Island City.

To submit a nomination, complete the form at the link below or submit a paragraph (no more than 250 words) explaining why the individual or business you are nominating should be recognized for Women’s History Month to community@wiltonmanors.com, by January 31, 2023.

Jam Out to Elton and the Jets

We've got you covered for family-friendly weekend plans. Kick off your Friday night at this month's free Live@Mickel concert at Mickel Park (2675 NW 7th Ave.) on January 20, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., featuring Elton and the Jets. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and don't forget to bring your chair or blanket.

"Birding in Wilton Manors" Lecture Series

In 1964, the Island City was declared a Bird Sanctuary, welcoming different birds throughout the year. Join John Strohsahl and the Friends of the Library on January 26, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library (500 NE 26th Street) for a happy hour followed by a conversation at 7 p.m. on "Birding in Wilton Manors."

Waste Management's Shred-A-Thon

January 21, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Head over to the City Hall parking lot (2020 Wilton Drive) this Saturday, January 21, 2023, to securely dispose of sensitive documents at Waste Management's free and secure shredding and hard-drive punching service. Proof of residency is required, so don't forget your driver's license or utility bill. If you own a business in Wilton Manors, please bring a copy of your Wilton Manors Business Tax Receipt.

Broward County Property Appraiser's Office Hours

January 24, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Representatives from the Broward County Property Appraiser's office will be at City Hall to answer your property-related questions. 

City Commission Meeting

January 24, 2023, at 7 p.m.

The next City Commission Meeting will be held in-person in the Commission Chambers at City Hall (2020 Wilton Drive).

If you are unable to attend and would like to submit a public comment, email it to publiccomment@wiltonmanors.com before the start of the meeting. Please include your name and address in the email. All comments submitted by email shall be, if read orally, three (3) minutes or less. Public comments received by 6 p.m., before the start of the meeting, will be delivered to the Commission before the meeting and be part of the public record.

Educational stations will be set up so you can learn how to best take care of your new plants. Proof of Wilton Manors residency is required.
