His Grace, Bishop Irinej of Washington-New York and Eastern America, has blessed Father Aleksandar Vlajkovic to undertake a significant missionary assignment. Father Aleksandar will be absent from the Boston parish from October 15, 2024, to April 1, 2025. During this period, he will focus on advancing the missionary activities of the newly established parish in New Britain, Connecticut, as well as the emerging missionary community in Martha's Vineyard.

In his absence, the Most Reverend Protopresbyter Nikola Todorovic, a cleric of the Metropolitanate of the Montenegrin Coastal Serbian Orthodox Church currently serving in Herceg Novi, will oversee all parish duties and holy services. Father Nikola is expected to arrive in Boston next week and will be present for SerbFest.

Father Aleksandar will conduct his final weekly liturgy on September 22, 2024, and will be on vacation from September 28 to October 14, 2024. For any inquiries during Father Aleksandar's absence, please contact Father Nikola at the church phone number 617-674-4035 or on his cell phone at 857-773-3272.

We extend our heartfelt wishes for success to Father Aleksandar in his missionary work, and warmly welcome Father Nikola to our parish community.

Његово Преосвештенство, Епископ Вашингтонско-њујоршки и источноамерички Господин Иринеј, благословио је оца Александра Влајковића да, на одређено време, одсуствује са своје дужности у бостонској парохији, у циљу развијања мисионарских делатности новоосноване мисионарске парохије у Новој Британији, савезна држава Конектикат, као и у новом мисионарском подручју на Мартиним Виноградима (Martha’s Vineyard).

Ово одсуство ће трајати од 15. октобра, 2024. године до 1. априла, 2025. године. За то време, у вршењу светих богослужења и осталих парохијских дужности, замењиваће га високопречасни протопрезвитер Никола Тодоровић, клирик Митрополије црногорско-приморске Српске Православне Цркве, који тренутно служи у Херцег Новом. Отац Никола, по Божјој вољи, стиже у Бостон идуће недеље, на време за Србфест.

Отац Александар ће служити своју последњу недељну Литургију 22. септембра, након чега ће бити на одмору од 28. септембра до 14. октобра. За сва питања током његовог одсуства, можете се обратити оцу Николи на црквени телефон 617-674-4035 или мобилни 857-773-3272.

Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

Зато је царство небеско као човек цар који намисли да се прорачуна са својим слугама. И кад се поче рачунати, доведоше му једног дужника од десет хиљада таланата. И будући да немаше чим платити, заповеди господар његов да га продаду, и жену његову и децу, и све што има; и да му се плати. Но слуга тај паде и клањаше му се говорећи: Господару! Причекај ме, и све ћу ти платити. А господару се сажали за тим слугом, пусти га и дуг опрости му. А кад изиђе слуга тај, нађе једног од својих другара који му је дужан сто гроша, и ухвативши га дављаше га говорећи: Дај ми шта си дужан. Паде другар његов пред ноге његове и мољаше га говорећи: Причекај ме, и све ћу ти платити. А он не хте, него га одведе и баци у тамницу док не плати дуга. Видевши пак другари његови тај догађај жао им би врло, и отишавши казаше господару свом сав догађај. Тада га дозва господар његов, и рече му: Зли слуго! Сав дуг овај опростих теби, јер си ме молио. Није ли требало да се и ти смилујеш на свог другара, као и ја на те што се смиловах? И разгневи се господар његов, и предаде га мучитељима док не плати сав дуг свој. Тако ће и Отац мој небески учинити вама, ако не опростите сваки брату свом од срца својих.
