Недељна школа Храма Свети Сава

Annual dues for the program will be as follows, per year:

* Free for children age 4-6

* $400 per child age 7+

* $550 for two children age 8+ per family

* $700 for three or more children age 8+ per family

Last weekend, our Desanka Maksimović Choir (DMC) traveled to Kansas City, Kansas! After being asked to be the guest choir three years ago, they were excited to finally take part in an amazing weekend. They were greeted at the airport with a big "welcome" sign and members of the Kansas City choir. They toured downtown Kansas, spent time with new friends, and never left the dance floor at the "zabava." Led by Milica Vlajkovic during the concert, they sang three songs followed by performances by the Serbian choirs from Omaha, NE, and Kansas City, KS. On Sunday, directed by Slobodanka Vlajkovic, the Boston choir responded to the Divine Liturgy at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. It was a joyous weekend, and DMC was grateful to have met such a wonderful Serbian community!

The 5K run/1-mile walk “Run Like Kat” Road Race is an opportunity to bring our community together to remember Katarina “Kat” Boskovic, honor her legacy and celebrate her many incredible, positive qualities. 

Among these attributes, Kat was incredibly kind, inclusive, funny and had a unique ability to always see the good in people. 

While the sadness and impact of her loss remain, the Kat Boskovic Memorial Fund will allow Kat’s legacy also to remain with us and positively impact our community. 

Kat was a superb student athlete, mentor and youth track coach, yet above all, she adored her family and was a loving, loyal and genuine friend who touched so many lives.

While we should all aspire to Be Like Kat, let’s honor her on Friday, 11/25 and together Run Like Kat!

New Luncheon Pricing

Dear all, the Kolo sisters are increasing the suggested price of our Sunday Luncheons after more than a decade.

Suggested donation is $15 for adults, $10 for Seniors and students, and free for children under 12. Of course, any amount is much appreciated.

Предлажемо донацију од $15 за одрасле, $10 за пензионере и студенте, а ручак је бесплатан за децу млађу од 12 година. Наравно, све ове цене су само сугестија, и захвални смо за донацију у било којем износу.

18th Sunday after Pentecost

So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.

Једанпут пак, кад народ належе к Њему да слушају реч Божију Он стајаше код језера генисаретског, И виде две лађе где стоје у крају, а рибари беху изишли из њих и испираху мреже: И уђе у једну од лађа која беше Симонова, и замоли га да мало одмакне од краја; и седавши учаше народ из лађе. А кад преста говорити, рече Симону: Хајде на дубину, и баците мреже своје те ловите. И одговарајући Симон рече Му: Учитељу! Сву ноћ смо се трудили, и ништа не ухватисмо: али по Твојој речи бацићу мрежу. И учинивши то ухватише велико мноштво риба, и мреже им се продреше. И намагоше на друштво које беше на другој лађи да дођу да им помогну; и дођоше, и напунише обе лађе тако да се готово потопе. А кад виде Симон Петар, припаде ка коленима Исусовим говорећи: Изиђи од мене, Господе! Ја сам човек грешан. Јер беше ушао страх у њега и у све који беху с њим од мноштва риба које ухватише; А тако и у Јакова и Јована, синове Зеведејеве, који беху другови Симонови. И рече Исус Симону: Не бој се; одселе ћеш људе ловити. И извукавши обе лађе на земљу оставише све, и отидоше за Њим.
