Kolo Dancing Night Out (February 12-March 26)
When: Saturdays following Vespers (roughly 6:30pm)
Where: St. Sava Church Hall
Who: Beginners to Advanced (adult focused with children welcome)
Why: For exercise, fun, and camaraderie
What: Bring your work-out clothes, shoes, and positive energy

Affordable Homeownership Lottery Opportunity for First-Time Homebuyers in Cambridge | |

The City of Cambridge Community Development Department is accepting applications for affordable condominiums at Inman Crossing, located at 305 Webster Avenue, and Saint James Place, located at 7 Beech Street. Applicants can apply for one or both properties by completing a single, online application.
Units will be filled through a lottery process.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, March 4, 2022 at noon. The City is piloting an online application for this opportunity.
There are two (2) one-bedroom, and two (2) two-bedroom condominiums available at Inman Crossing Condominiums.

There are one (1) one-bedroom, three (3) two-bedroom, and one (1) three-bedroom condominiums available at Saint James Place Condominiums.
All units are subject to resale, limited equity, and residency restrictions.

"Serbian Sisters' Circle and other women's organizations"
„On the basis of available data, from 1909 until 1941, it can be seen that certain Circles maintained direct contact with the head office in Belgrade, since the Diocesan Federation of Serbian Sisters' Circles had not yet been formed in America. To the Belgrade Circle they sent their monetary donations, photographs of their organizations...
At the celebration of the Serbian Sisters' Circle in Belgrade on September 21, 1937 the participants were greeted by a sister from America, Zora Nikolas, whose fairly lengthy speech included the following: " Allow me to express my feelings freely. I am proud to have been given the rare honor of participating today in your celebration, which I feel belongs to me as well, a modest Serbian woman, mother and ordinary laborer engaged in the great national, educational task, a Serbian woman from a distant land, across the wide seas, from the land of Lincoln, Washington and Wilson, and on behalf of all our Serbian sisters throughout America, i bring our joint greeting...You are, dear sisters, worker-bees, and we in America have seen your work and followed your example, with one difference: you were in your own homeland where our mother tongue, the faith of our forefathers, our national culture and history are cultivated in our national schools, and yet you still encountered difficulties in preserving our youth from the vice of atheism and wading into international waters and other vices of alienation - then you can imagine all the difficulties we sisters must contend abroad where there are foreign schools, a foreign culture, faith and customs and especially a foreign language, in trying to preserve our children so they do not become alienated. While our husbands and brothers, uneducated and illiterate, do heavy labor in American factories...and in most cases the mothers, too, are obliged to work in the factories, our children are brought up by foreigners and the street. But thanks to the St. Sava's Church and its clergy, the Serbian Sisters' Circle and recently the Serb National Federation and Serbian Singing Federation, many of our young people have been preserved for Serbdom and Orthodoxy... We have built some 30 churches with schools, we created the Serb National Federation, the Singing Federation and Serbian Sisters' Circles - and if God wills, we shall found a Federation of Serbian Sisters' Circles - We have sent to our Homeland over a half a million dollars, hundreds of boxes of goods, and several thousand brothers to the Front, including two of our priests... -Everything we did for our Homeland, our sweat and backbreaking toil...and everything given was offered with our blessing and tears shed for Serbia... Today we are proud that the blood and sweat of America's Serbs have been built onto our great country, Yugoslavia, since of the 100,000 Serbs living in America at the time, 5-6,000 volunteered to serve."

"Кола српских сестара и друге женске организације"
„На основу података које смо имали при руци, од 1909. до 1941. године, може се уочити да су поједина Кола српских сестара одржавала диркектну везу, пошто тада у Америци још није био створен епархисјки Савез кола српских сестара, са централом Кола српских сестара у Београду. Централи у Београду слали су своје новчане прилоге, фотографије својих кола,...
Приликом славе Кола српских сестара у Београду, 21. септембра 1937. године, учеснике славе поздравила је једна сестра из Америке, Зора Николас, која је у свом подужем говору рекла и ово: "Допустили сте ми да слободно изразим своја осећања. Ја се поносим што ми је у део пала та ретка част и срећа да данас узмем учешћа на вашој слави, коју сматрам и својом, ја једна скромна Српкиња, мајка и скромна радница на великом народном делу национално-просветном, Српкиња са далеких страна, преко широких мора из земље Линколна, Вашингтона и Вилсона, и да вам у име своје и у свих српских сестара диљем Америке, поднесем нашу заједничку честитку...Ви сте, драге сестре, пчеле радилице, а на ваш рад угледале смо се и ми из Америке и пошле за вашим примером, но са разликом: док сте ви у својој домовини, где се негује наш матерњи језик, вера прадедовска, наша национална култура, па сте ипак наилазили на тешкоће да се наша младеж сачува од порока безверја и не загази у интернационалне воде и друге пороке однарођивања - онда можете себи представити са каквим се све недаћама боримо ми сестре у исељеништву, где су туђе школе, туђа култура, вера и обичаји а нарочито туђ језик, па да нашу децу сачувамо да се не одроде. Док наши мужеви и браћа раде тешке послове по америчким творницама...необразовани и неписмени, а у вечини случајева су и мајке принуђене да раде по творницама, дотле су наша деца препуштена туђем одгоју и одгоју уличном. Но благодарећи Светосавској цркви и њеном свештенству, Колима Српских Сестара и у новије доба Срп. Народном Савезу или Срп. Певачком Савезу, добар део наше омладине сачуван је за Српство и Православље...Подигли смо око 30 српских цркава са школама, створили смо Срп. Народни Савез, Певачки Савез и Кола Српских Сестара - а даће Бог да оснујемо и Сaвез Кола Српских Сестара - Послали смо домовини преко пола милиона долара, на стотине сандука робе, и неколико хиљада браће своје у борбу, а међу њима и два своја свештеника... -Све ово што смо учинили према домовини, наш је зној и наша крвава мука...и све што је дато, давано је са благословом и сузама у бризи за Србијом... Данас поносимо се што је у нашој великој држави Југославији узидани крв и зној Срба из Америке, јер је од 100.000 Срба, колико их је тада било у Америци, отишло 5-6000 у добровољце."

33rd Sunday after Pentecost
Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

И кад уђе у Јерихон и пролажаше кроза њ, И гле, човек по имену Закхеј, који беше старешина царинички, и беше богат, И искаше да види Исуса да Га позна; и не могаше од народа, јер беше малог раста; И потрчавши напред, попе се на дуд да Га види; јер Му је онуда требало проћи. И кад дође Исус на оно место, погледавши горе виде га, и рече му: Закхеју! Сиђи брзо; јер ми данас ваља бити у твојој кући. И сиђе брзо; и прими Га радујући се. И сви, кад видеше, викаху на Њега говорећи да грешном човеку дође у кућу. А Закхеј стаде и рече Господу: Господе! Ево пола имања свог даћу сиромасима, и ако сам кога занео вратићу онолико четворо. А Исус му рече: Данас дође спасење кући овој; јер је и ово син Авраамов. Јер је Син човечији дошао да нађе и спасе шта је изгубљено.
