Where: St. Sava Church Hall
Who: Beginners to Advanced (adult focused with children welcome)
Why: For exercise, fun, and camaraderie
What: Bring your work-out clothes, shoes, and positive energy

"Life during the Great Depression in America"
„The misfortunes that the Depression brought to all Americans were shared by the Serbian clergy together with their people...
During a visit to Belgrade in late 1935 Archpriest Milovan Šundić from Wilmerding submitted a "Report on the Situation of the Serbian Orthodox Church in America" to the Regent, Prince Pavle, and to Serbian Patriarch Varnava...
"Never in the history of America has there been a harder time than the seven years (1928-1935) I have been there... Our Diocese has survived the crisis so far most honorably, though the clergy, like the rest of our people, have suffered great hardships, barely eking out a living. During this period several of our smaller, less prosperous churches were closed, but a true miracle has occurred since this same period has enriched our Diocese with a number of splendid churches, first of all, St. Sava Monastery. In addition to the Monastery in Libertyville, fine parish churches have been built in Lorain, Ohio, Youngstown, Ohio, Akron, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, St. Louis, Missouri and Chicago Illinois. Besides the new churches many old churches have been repaired, new iconostases installed, bells purchased, and new school buildings and several national halls have been built.
During this same period the Serbian mutual-aid organizations have united into a large Serb National Federation, while giving attention to the organization of national and religious education for the youth.
At the same time patriotic Serbian women have organized so-called "Circles of Serbian Sisters" for the purpose of assisting the churches, schools and mutual-aid societies.
This huge undertaking was carried out with the very active participation of our Bishop and his loyal, obedient clergy and cooperation of representatives of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia... all this graciously aided by our great scientists, Mr. N. Tesla and the late M. Pupin."...
During this period of adversity our people united around their Church, which had also become impoverished, since it was the only place they could turn to and share what little they had in those sad times."

"Живот у време америчке кризе"
„Све недаће које је депресија донела свима становницима Америке, српско свештенство је делило заједно са својим народом...
За време свога боравка у Београду, крајем 1935. године, протојереј Милован Шундић, из Вилмердинга, поднео је извештај о стању Српске православне цркве у Америци и Канади кнезу намеснику Павлу и патријарху српском Варнави...
"Никада у историји Америке не памти се теже стање него баш ових седам година... Наша Епархија прошла је до сада кроз ову кризу веома часно, премда су свештеници као и цео народ трпили тешке оскудице радећи тако рећи за голо парче хлебa. Догодило се да је неколико мањих и сиромашнијих црква кроз овај период кризе било затворено или прикључено оближњим већим парохијама, али се догодило и једно право чудо, а то је да је овај период времена обогатио нашу Епархију са лепим бројем велелепних цркава са манастиром Светог Саве на челу. Поред манастира у Либертивилу, саграђене су дивне парохијске цркве у Лорен, Охајо; Јунгстон, Охајо; Акрон, Охајо; Детроит, Мичиган; Ст. Лоис, Мизури и Чикаго, Илиноис. Поред ових нових цркава, оправљене су многе старе цркве, подигнути нови иконостаси, купована звона, подигнуте нове школске зграде и неколико народних домова.
У истом периоду времена уједињене су српске потпорне организације у један велики Српски народни савез, а обраћена пажња организацији и национално-верском васпитању подмлатка.
Истовремено проведена је организација родољубивих Српкиња у тзв. "Кола српских сестара" са циљем да својим радом помажу цркве, школе и потпорна друштва.
Цео овај замашан посао рађен је са врло активним учешћем нашег Владике и њему оданог и послушног свештенства уз активну сарадњу претставника Краљевине Југославије..., а све ове послове благонаклоно су помагали наши великани г. Н. Тесла и покојни М. Пупин."...
У тим врло тешким временима наш народ се окупљао око своје Цркве, која је такође сиротовала, јер је била једини стуб око којег су се могли окупити и сачувати и поделити оно што су у тим чемерним данима имали."

Meatfare Sunday
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

А кад дође Син човечији у слави својој и сви свети анђели с Њиме, онда ће сести на престолу славе своје. И сабраће се пред Њим сви народи, и разлучиће их између себе као пастир што разлучује овце од јараца. И поставиће овце с десне стране себи, а јарце с леве. Тада ће рећи цар онима што Му стоје с десне стране: ходите благословени Оца мог; примите царство које вам је приправљено од постања света. Јер огладнех, и дасте ми да једем; ожеднех, и напојисте ме; гост бејах, и примисте ме; Го бејах, и оденусте ме; болестан бејах, и обиђосте ме; у тамници бејах, и дођосте к мени. Тада ће Му одговорити праведници говорећи: Господе! Кад Те видесмо гладна, и нахранисмо? Или жедна, и напојисмо? Кад ли Те видесмо госта, и примисмо? Или гола, и оденусмо? Кад ли Те видесмо болесна или у тамници, и дођосмо к Теби? И одговарајући цар рећи ће им: Заиста вам кажем: кад учинисте једном од ове моје најмање браће, мени учинисте. Тада ће рећи и онима што Му стоје с леве стране: Идите од мене проклети у огањ вечни приправљен ђаволу и анђелима његовим. Јер огладнех, и не дадосте ми да једем; ожеднех, и не напојисте ме; Гост бејах, и не примисте ме; го бејах, и не оденусте ме; болестан и у тамници бејах, и не обиђосте ме. Тада ће Му одговорити и они говорећи: Господе! Кад Те видесмо гладна или жедна, или госта или гола, или болесна или у тамници, и не послужисмо Те? Тада ће им одговорити говорећи: Заиста вам кажем: кад не учинисте једном од ове моје мале браће, ни мени не учинисте. И ови ће отићи у муку вечну, а праведници у живот вечни.
