Easter eggs and desserts donation | |

Dear Parishioners,
The Easter Team extends a warm request for your generous support by donating one or two dozen vibrantly colored eggs, along with a dessert, to share in our church celebration on Easter Sunday.
For convenience, desserts should be pre-cut, neatly arranged in disposable containers, and delivered to the kitchen before the church service begins. Meanwhile, eggs will be collected at the church entrance for a blessing. We kindly ask that you refrain from using cherished baskets, as we cannot guarantee their return.
To ensure proper planning, please confirm your contribution to Anita at zilicanita@gmail.com no later than Friday, May 3rd.
One additional note, the egg dyeing for children will be on Saturday, May 4, at St. Sava Cathedral Hall, after the Liturgy, which begins at 9 am.

The church will be open all day on Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and until 5pm on Easter Sunday.
We hope that you will join us after the Paschal Liturgy for a festive Easter luncheon in the church hall, followed by an Easter egg hunt for the children. No reservation is needed.
Црква бити отворена цео дан на Велики петак и Велику суботу, а на Васкрс до 15 часова.
Позивамо све вас да нам се после Васкршње Литургије придружите на свечаном Васкршењем ручку у црквеној сали, и потрази за Васкршњим јајима за децу. Резервације за ручак нису потребне.

The blessing of Slava kolach/

All parishioners who celebrate St. George as their family patron saint can bring their Slava bread to church on Monday, May 6. The blessing of the bread will take place after the Liturgy.
Vespers will not be served on May 5.

Сви славари који славе Ђурђевдан могу донети славске колаче у понедељак, 6. маја, после Литургије.
Нема Вечерње 5. маја.

Bright Sunday
Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

А кад би увече, онај први дан недеље, и врата беху затворена где се беху ученици скупили од страха јеврејског, дође Исус и стаде на среду и рече им: Мир вам. И ово рекавши показа им руке и ребра своја. Онда се ученици обрадоваше видевши Господа. А Исус им рече опет: Мир вам; као што Отац посла мене, и ја шаљем вас. И ово рекавши дуну, и рече им: Примите Дух Свети. Којима опростите грехе, опростиће им се; и којима задржите, задржаће се. А Тома, који се зове Близанац, један од дванаесторице, не беше онде са њима кад дође Исус. А други му ученици говораху: Видесмо Господа. А он им рече: Док не видим на рукама Његовим рана од клина, и не метнем прста свог у ране од клина, и не метнем руке своје у ребра Његова, нећу веровати.
