MOVIE NIGHT - Monday 6/16/25

Gather at 6 PM - Movie begins promptly at 6:15 PM

Come join us in the Library (at the church) for a Netflix screening of the movie Nonnas, starring Vince Vaughn. This is sponsored by the Stephen Ministers, Care Team, and Coffee and Conversations groups. The movie takes place in Brooklyn and Staten Island, and explores topics related to grief, while telling a rich story of the Italian American experience, and connection to FOOD!

         THE MEMBERS of the First Church in Swampscott, Congregational are hereby called to convene for our Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 22, 2025, after the Church service.

 

         THE PURPOSE of the meeting is to present, discuss, and vote on the annual budget, the election of new officers of the Council and to act on any other business which might legally be brought before the meeting.

In anticipation of Commitment Sunday on the 15th, Commitment Cards are being mailed to you now. You have a number of options to return the card...


·        At the end of the worship service on the 15th, you can leave your completed cards in the offering plate found in the center isle of the sanctuary, or

·        You can mail your card to the church office, Attention: Stewardship, or

·        You can send an email to office@thefirstchurch.org with a scan or photo of your completed card, or simply share the information requested on the card in an email text. 

 

Thank you for your commitment to First Church. Truly, “no gift is too small”. Our resources (time, effort and money) taken together allow us to make big dreams happen. Who among us has not experienced how First Church changes lives, our lives and the lives of many others in the community.

Al-Anon is an organization that offers experience, strength and hope to families who are

struggling with alcoholism and addiction. It is a very safe place to share the challenges of

difficult family situations. We at Al-Anon are very grateful to the First Church of Swampscott which has offered us space to hold our meetings, as below:
