Ordinations
You're invited to celebrate the ordination of the Revs. Brian Petersen, Lilia Mendoza, Katherine Gordon, and Nancy Burnett to the priesthood on Saturday, June 18 at 11 am at St. Andrew's, 890 Balour Drive, Encinitas. All are welcome to this sacred service. Vaccination is required for attendance. Clergy members, please wear red stoles. Festive reception to follow.
General Convention
Our diocese will send a dozen deputies to the 80th General Convention of the Episcopal Church. The gathering is the highest authority in our church, which arguably has the most democratic structure of any denomination. A House of Bishops and a House of Deputies must agree on every resolution, thereby giving the people of the church a voice on all important matters. Pray for our deputies as the event approaches and learn more about the convention.
