Another week of the new normal and I find myself seeing God at work in remarkable ways. First let me say a big “Thank You!” to the staff of NFUMC and the continued blessing they are to serve with on a daily basis. And I want to thank many of you, the body of Christ, for all you are doing to remember, serve, follow, and worship Jesus during this unusual time we find ourselves. Keep calling and checking on each other. Keep praying. Keep being faithful. Keep your sanity!

The scripture I want us to pray on and think about is Joshua 1:9. God is speaking to Joshua after Moses’ death and telling Joshua that He wants him to lead His people to the Promised Land. As you can imagine, Joshua had some doubts and fears so God said, “ I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go .”

Because of the continued recommendations of medical and government leaders we will once again only be providing a worship service via Facebook for this Sunday. If you are not FB friends with me or our church FB page please send a friend request so you can join us in our live stream worship experience. It is my hope to be able to provide a sanctuary worship service for you as much as possible while maintaining the 10 or less people gathered to make that happen. Simply get on your Facebook page and then go to my page or the church page at 11am to tune in. When you get on the live stream click the like or heart tab to let us know you are there.

If you have a prayer request or praise that you would like for me to announce during the service email me that request/praise at no later than 9am Sunday morning. If you have a prayer request that you want the prayer team to be aware of email those to Also, please reach out to someone if you are feeling down or lonely and let us pray with and encourage you.

Several of you have asked about the finances of the church so I want to remind you to continue to give as you usually do if possible. You can mail your check to the church or you can do online giving through your bank’s Bill Pay option. Contact Nancy Garrison for more information.

Please know that you are loved and prayed for every day and I am so looking forward to seeing you all back in church hopefully soon to worship together. Stay faithful and prayerful my friends.

Remember, God loves you and so do I.

-Pastor Eddie
