Care Kits for the Homeless
When you see a person begging on a street corner in Chicago, or walking the traffic line looking for handouts, are you unsure how to respond? When our high school youth worked with the Chicago Bridge Project in March, we assembled small care kits that contain a cereal bar, beef jerky, bandaids, ointment and wipes all rubber banded together. These handy kits can be kept in your car or in your bag to hand out so that you can positively respond to these requests. The WF youth group and confirmation class have provided a basket in the rotunda with some of these care kits for our congregation. While supplies last, please take a few so you can share a little bit of love with someone in need!
