From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,

Welcome Back! I hope that everyone had a relaxing break! We are gearing up for the final 29 - YES - 29 days of school!

Students may begin wearing uniform shorts on Thursday, May 2nd. Please remember that we are following the 4-inch rule - (just as with uniform skirts), shorts must be no shorter than 4 inches above the knee (for boys and girls). We will have uniform pants to exchange for shorts that are too short. Please try on shorts before Thursday morning! Students may wear khaki or navy for this year only. Come fall, we will only be allowing navy shorts. Thanks you for checking the length ahead of time. We don't like to be the "uniform police" here in the office! Finally, students will still be going outside for recess. Please use your best parent judgement as to whether it is warm enough for shorts.
MAP testing will begin WEDNESDAY (5/1) for Middle School and NEXT WEEK for Grades K5 - 5th. As always, please make sure students are well-rested and have a good breakfast each day.
Make sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, May 23, at 6:30pm for this year's Spring Concert.
Our State of the School meeting will take place next Tuesday, May 7, at 6:30 in the PLC. We hope to see a representative from each family at the meeting.

Attention all 8th Grade Parents: Our final Washington DC meeting will take place next Monday, May 6th at 6:30 in the Science Room. Students and Adult travelers should be present!

Prayers, Celebrations, & Gratitude
Please pray for a school family who was in a car accident on their way home from Easter vacation, and for Dustin Drees, husband of our Art teacher Sherie, who is recovering from a heart attack.

Yesterday was Divine Mercy Sunday. Learn how to pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy here. Pray for the conversion of others, that they may come to know God's endless mercy.

Please also pray for our Confirmands as they make their Confirmation this week.

Thank You!
Thanks to your generosity, we raised $3,747.27 for the G9 Childhood Cancer Foundation through our Coins for a Cure drive. Amazing!
