Worship on Sunday

We will celebrate our gratitude and gifts this Thanksgiving Sunday. Jeanne Ward will lead us in sharing our Thanksgiving stories and we will offer up a blessing for the food shelf donations we have been collecting this last month.

CHURCH OFFICE HOURS

Office hours for the church are:

Wednesdays: 9:30am-2pm

Fridays: 9:30am-2pm

During those hours, the side door (near the kitchen) will be unlocked, and one of the staff will be in the office.

While our minister always welcomes a pop-in visit, to ensure she'll be there and available, it's always a good idea to call ahead or make an appointment by e-mailing her at bethanypastoramy@gmail.com.

FOOD SHELF DONATIONS

The donations collected for the Randolph Area Food Shelf at Bethany will be delivered to the Food Shelf on Monday, Nov. 24.

We could use help in bagging up the donations after church on Sunday and loading them up on Monday at 3 pm.

Please continue your support of the Food Shelf through food or monetary donations during this winter. Thank you to all who participated.

PROJECT DOVE IS BACK!

An amazing outpouring of generosity and love walked through the doors of Bethany this past week as donations were collected by Project Dove to send to the children of Myrhorod, Ukraine. Many thanks to Irene Schaefer and Lee Khan who organized the drive.

The packing of the boxes will take place this Friday, 11/21 at 10 am. All are welcome to come and help.

BETHANY BAZAAR ON DEC. 6th

We are getting ready for our Bazaar on Dec. 6 and can use your help. We will have sign up sheets in the Fellowship Hall or you can email bethanyucc@gmail.com to let us know how you can help.

- Sign up to bring cookies for the Cookie Walk

- Sign up to bring something for the Baked Goods table

- Sign up to help with set up for the Bazaar on Friday, Dec. 5

This year we are having a White Elephant Table featuring Christmas decorations and crafts. This is a great time to go through the holiday items you no longer use. Also, we are asking for nice "re-gift" items that we can price and sell. Please bring in those items Nov. 30- Dec. 4.

Send an email to Bethany Church or touch base with Terry Burgee if you have any questions or suggestions! Thanks!

ADVENT DEVOTIONALS ARE HERE!

The UCC's Advent devotionals are in! This year's theme is "Soon & Very Soon," which is the title of one of my favorite hymns. It's an upbeat approach to waiting and anticipating the glorious life God has for us. The devotionals are available for $5 in the church office.

Pastor Amy will lead a weekly devotional study/conversation during the season of Lent, starting in December. There will be two sections: an evening zoom and a morning in-person. Please e-mail her if you are interested.

KEEP YOUR PRAYER LIST VISIBLE

Here is a way to keep the folks who are on our prayer list in our hearts and minds: Cut the list out from the bulletin or write the names down on a piece of paper and post the list somewhere you will see it each day. Take a moment to think of or say a prayer for those on the list. Think of the cloud of prayers that will surround each recipient if we all do that!

IN OUR PRAYERS

Christine Meagher's Aunt Margaret who has passed away

Susannah Gravel's friend Kathy for health issues

Ann Aikens, whose father passed away

Peter Harvey's cousin who died last week

Kit, who is in recovery from surgery

Jennifer H. asks for prayers for her children dealing with challenges

Tattoo Tom dealing with sobriety challenges

Doug and Judy Moore's daughter Mi Jen who is making good progress in recovering from a brain injury

The families of Al Floyd and Mary Sue Crowley, who are grieving their passing

We continue to pray for David Atkinson, Dawn Chittenden, Rick Edwards, Marty Strange, and our friends at Menig: Ruth, Grace, Marge, Ed, Mary and Nancy

We pray for our Friends in Ukraine

We pray for people who are food insecure

We pray for immigrants who are being targeted and arrested without due process
