CHURCH OFFICE HOURS
Office hours for the church are:
Wednesdays: 9:30am-2pm
Fridays: 9:30am-2pm
During those hours, the side door (near the kitchen) will be unlocked, and one of the staff will be in the office.
While our minister always welcomes a pop-in visit, to ensure she'll be there and available, it's always a good idea to call ahead or make an appointment by e-mailing her at bethanypastoramy@gmail.com.

A MONTH OF GRATITUDE AND GIVING
After hearing of the food insecurity issues within our community, Bethany is declaring November a month of Gratitude and Giving. We feel called to help out our neighbors in need.
We are asking Bethany members and friends to help stock the food shelf during the next four Sundays. You may bring non-perishable goods to the church either during office hours or on Sunday. We will gather our gifts around the altar until Nov. 23, when we will bless our gifts before they are delivered to the food shelf.
Monetary donations are also welcomed, either through a check sent directly to the food shelf or one made out to Bethany Church with the Food Shelf in the memo line. This can also be done through our online giving portal on the Bethany website: bethanyuccvt.org

A Word from the Upper Valley Food Security Network!
The Network (formerly the Hunger Council) is responding to the growing need in our community by hosting a weekly virtual meeting (via Zoom) for partners, mutual aid groups, and other interested parties. It will be an opportunity to share updates and challenges, and coordinate our collective response to the increasing food access needs across the region. These meetings will be facilitated by Jennifer Fontaine, Director of Operations for Upper Valley Haven.
Meetings will take place every Tuesday from 8:30–9:00 AM on Zoom.
(Meeting link: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/72567250839?pwd=sjgcP2jqAZrC8W7qufTfuicYHp8Tkp.1).
The goal is to connect helping groups and affected agencies and providers to ensure effective coordination and communication. For more information, please call Jennifer Fontaine, (802) 478-1850.

FELLOWSHIP GET-TOGETHERS WITH PASTOR AMY
Joy Kacik (jckacik@gmail.com) 267-240-5131 is organizing opportunities to spend a little time getting to know Pastor Amy and she you. If you would be willing to host a get-together OR would like tobe included in a get-together, please reach out to Joy. Our vision, as a church council, is to have folks host different gatherings, a target size of 8 people, and invite church members and friends or others from the community you think would enjoy the get-together.
There are many ways you can choose to host – for example, it could be breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or coffee and dessert. Etc. It doesn’t have to be a full meal and it can also be a potluck. You decide
what works best for you.
We are proposing Wednesdays through Sundays as possible days of the week. Share with Joy what you are thinking and a few proposed dates and she will coordinate with Pastor Amy to confirm dates, times and number of invitees.
You can choose your own invitees and/or check with Joy for a list of those who would like to be included. You are also welcome to invite neighbors, friends or community members you think would enjoy being included to have a glimpse into Bethany.
Dates currently available are:
December 3 – Breakfast or Lunch only (no dinner availability
December 4-7 and 10-14 and 17-21

KEEP YOUR PRAYER LIST VISIBLE
Here is a way to keep the folks who are on our prayer list in our hearts and minds: Cut the list out from the bulletin or write the names down on a piece of paper and post the list somewhere you will see it each day. Take a moment to think of or say a prayer for those on the list. Think of the cloud of prayers that will surround each recipient if we all do that!
