as we can! Through February 28, our school will be working to reach a goal of $6,000. A letter has been sent home that talks about Pennies for Patients and has instructions for setting up an online giving page. When you create your online fundraising page and start raising money online you become eligible to receive awesome Hero Gear! Check out our school page here!

Crayon Collection
Do you have broken/unwanted  crayons that you are planning to  throw away? Well, save them from  the landfill and donate to a good  cause! The PTA is collecting used  crayons and will be sending them to  Effortless Art, a company (started  by a Fairview grad!) that  makes adapted crayons for early  learners and special needs children.

If you would like to donate your broken/used crayons, you can drop  them in the box found in the Gilles Sweet office. We will be collecting  them through the remainder of the school year. Any questions, please  feel free to contact Karley Beaudry, karleybeaudry86@gmail.com
Box Tops
It's time for our last Box Tops collection drive this year!  While this drive will end  Friday the 14th, you can use the Box Tops for education app to keep earning all year! Last year Gilles-Sweet earned almost   $2000  just by clipping Box Tops! So send those clipped Box Tops into your child's class, the top collectors in each grade will win a popcorn party!

Family and Community Engagement
As parents, we are always questioning ourselves about our parenting strategies or the development of our child. Over the next few weeks, I will be finding articles that I hope will answer those questions for you.

Remember, we are always trying our best as parents and yes your child is doing fine! PLEASE, if you would like more information in a certain area or have questions about parenting or child development, please email or call me.  We can set up a time to go over your questions.

For this week, let's take a look at  child development from birth to 16 years old.
