Orion Area Chamber to Host Fourth Annual State of the Community Luncheon
Local leaders will share timely updates on economic development, education, business,
and the future of the Orion community
The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce will host its Fourth Annual State of the Community Luncheon on Wednesday, October 7, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM at Paint Creek Country Club.
The State of the Community Luncheon provides business professionals and community leaders with timely and relevant information about the developments, opportunities, and trends shaping the Orion area.
This information-packed program will feature updates on economic development, education, and the local business climate. Attendees will hear directly from community leaders and gain valuable insight to help them better understand the direction of the Orion community while planning for continued growth, sustainability, and prosperity.
Together, our featured speakers will offer perspectives from local government and education, providing attendees with a broader understanding of the issues, accomplishments, and opportunities affecting the Orion area.
In addition to the featured presentations, guests will have opportunities to strengthen existing relationships, make new connections, and become better acquainted with fellow Chamber members and community leaders from throughout Oakland County. A delicious autumn-inspired luncheon buffet is also included.

The conversation focused on an important challenge: How do health care professionals continue caring for others while also taking care of themselves?

Our Brain trust is exploring a future program centered around setting healthy boundaries, prioritizing personal well-being, managing the emotional demands of caring for others, and finding healthy ways to cope with the pressures that come with the job. Through knowledgeable speakers, honest conversation, and practical resources, we hope to create an opportunity for healthcare and wellness professionals to connect, learn, and walk away with tools they can use in both their professional and personal lives. Because those who spend their days caring for others deserve support, too.

On August 26 the incredible team at MCLaren Oakland, Lake Orion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center hosted their first annual Awards Gala. Seventeen outstanding employees were nominated by their peers and received personalized awards honoring their team members' dedication, compassion, and everyday excellence! From years of service to rising stars, each story shared reminded us why their caring team is so special.
Orion Area Chamber President & CEO, Joyce Donaldson had the distinct pleasure of emceeing the Awards Gala at Indianwood Country Club. It was a night filled with heartfelt speeches, proud families, and well‑deserved celebration. Congratulations and Thank You to all the honorees!
