LAWN TALK – This ministry gives many the opportunity to come and enjoy fellowship, conversation and to simply catch up. This gathering will take place outside on the Church grounds and the day and time may vary from week to week (due to weather or other scenarios). Parish Family members will be notified by email on dates.

To All St. Nicholas Parishioners:

At our recent Philoptochos meeting, it was decided that it would be of great value to have our parishioners informed of the needs of two of our very important Metropolis ministries – Philoxenia House in Jamaica Plain, MA and the St. Methodios Faith & Heritage Camp in Contoocook, NH. We as a Philoptochos chapter support them annually and appeal to all of you to join us. Please read their “needs list” and be as generous as you can – small or large.

Wishing all our parishioners a fun and blessed summer. Thank you and God Bless.

It’s not too early to start planning for this year’s Summer Camp at MBC at the Retreat Center in Contoocook, NH. In fact, “earlier is better” for those ever popular later weeks in our summer program. MBC is offering five one week sessions for campers ages 8 - 18, and one session for families. The MBC Summer dates are:

Session 1: June 27 - July 3

Session 2: July 4 - 10

Session 3: July 11 - 17

Session 4: July 18 - 24

Session 5: July 25 - 31

**** Scholarships for all sessions are available via the camp office****

Summer Camp is a week of fun, fellowship and faith. Campers will have the opportunity to meet other youth from throughout the Metropolis, while participating in camp activities including: campfires, theater, music, hiking, swimming, Olympics, athletics, canoeing, Orthodox Life discussion sessions, and much more.

Camp is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and re- new old friendships, and is also a time for young Orthodox Christians to learn about their faith, values and heritage in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

We look forward to seeing you there!

BOUND FOR PROJECT MEXICO!
Hi all!
My name is Nicholas Heisler, and I am currently a senior in high school at BB&N! Next year, I plan to attend Quinnipiac University and major in nursing! I am excited for next year, and I have a busy summer ahead of me. Along with being a staff member at MBC camp, I am also planning on attending Project Mexico with friends from camp and the Sts Constantine and Helen Church in Webster, MA from July 12-18. Project Mexico is a Greek Orthodox organization that works with the St. Innocent Orphanage and gathers volunteers to build houses for families in need. The Project Mexico homebuilding mission is to build secure, safe and weather-tight homes for some of the most impoverished families outside of Tijuana, Mexico. Built strictly by volunteer labor, these homes provide families economic security and hope for a brighter future. While using my time and talent to help these impoverished families, I hope to humbly bear the burdens of others in the name of Christ.
The cost of this trip is $1500, and I hope that you will consider contributing to this most worthy cause. If you would like to donate, please contact me or contact the church office or send the donation to my home address -- 5 Vincent Rd, Burlington, MA 01803
Thank you, and have a great summer! Nicholas Heisler
