December 3, 2018
From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,
Advent is upon us! This morning the 7th graders led us in the blessing of our Advent wreath and then lit our first candle. This is always a very special time in our school!

Our Christmas tree is also up and lit for the season! This year instead of decorating with ornaments we are putting on HATS AND MITTENS which we will then donate to St Hyacinths before Christmas. If you are able, please send in new hats or mittens to adorn our tree!

Finally, please do not send GLASS containers in your child's lunchbox. We have had a few instances of breakage and we want to keep everyone safe!

Advent Blessings!
Mrs. Ellen Knippel

Cough Drops
Tis the season! Please send cough drops in the original bag. If there is menthol or any other drug which limits consumption to once every 2 hours, we will need to keep them in the office for the protection of your child. If they are okay to have in your child's desk, we will confirm that for the teacher. Please do not put a handful in a baggie with a note that says, "These are okay." For liability reasons, we must have the original bag.  Thanks so much for your help!  Here's to a healthy winter!

Have Snow Gear for Little Kids?
If you are purging old (size small) winter hats, snow pants, and gloves or mittens, would you mind sending them to school?  We need spares for grades 3K-5K.

specific question, submit it with your RSVP so they can prepare. All are welcome even if you don't have a child in the grade. 2018-19 Classroom Coffee Schedule. Mark your calendars for Dec. 13th - Mrs. Biwer and Dec. 14th - Ms. Duellman-Arndt.

Classroom Corner

In November, a group of our middle school students raked leaves for an elderly couple from our parish.

They were treated to hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies afterward - along with many delightful stories of the past.
The couple is so ap preciative of our students' help that they have also promised to make a donation to the school!

Thank you to the middle school students for helping to give our school a good name in the community!
