December 3, 2019
From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,
Happy Advent! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. Now for the three-week push to Christmas break! Lots of things are happening here at school. We began with the lighting of our first candle on the Advent wreath. We were led today by the 7th graders. We learned about the origin of the Advent wreath and what the first candle means (Hope). We then blessed our wreath and look forward to seeing it glow every day, reminding us that the birth of Jesus will soon be here!

This year we will be collecting WATERPROOF mittens and warm hats again to decorate our Advent tree. Additionally, we will be taking part in the St. Anthony Giving Tree. Each child will bring home a slip to let us know how many items your family would like to choose from the Giving Tree to help those in need. All items should be brought to school by December 13th or brought with you to Mass the weekend of December 14 & 15th. As always, we ask that you participate in any way that you, as a family, are able.

Wishing you many Advent Blessings!
Mrs. Ellen Knippel
